Very much like Success.

Rapid, skilful, strong. Has awful finishing and a very variable first touch. Likes a dive too.

Decent value though, and will be useful coming off the bench and running at tired defenders.

Yeah sure why not. At this point, other than a left-back, i'm not massively fussed. We look a LOT better than last year.

 

I have never seen him play so you could well be right, and I'm not looking for an arguement either.

However 24 goals in total last season, albeit in the Austrian League, Europa and Cup games, isn't to shabby. He even scored a couple goals and got an assist against Roma in the Europa League and there not exactly pushovers.

If he is as rapid as people say he is, then I would rather him coming off the bench than Okaka to run at tired defenders.

At this stage of the window we might be buying for Udinese like last summer

 

Buying for Udinese is the football equivalent of saying Eating for Two to pregnant women.

 

His you tube bears out the assessment above. He must at least be lucky though to score so many goals. If there is any truth in this it would suggest Sinclair or Okaka under threat.

Was in Vienna the last few days and watched the Rapid v Austria derby on tv. He was a cut above the rest, should have had 2 penalties in the last 10 minutes but Austria had come from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 and the Rapid fans were going nuts, chucking stuff on the pitch and the ref bottled it.

Very fast and tricky, running onto through balls then being brought down. Based purely on a single 90 minutes of football, it's a yes from me.

I'd be very surprised if this signing was for us, given Silva's comments yesterday about being happy with his strikers. Unless Okaka is on his was as some have stated.

In saying Gray offers us something different, I wonder if that was a backhanded way of saying Okaka and Deeney are too similar - and given he also said Deeney is staying and is captain...

 

He also said he sees Richard Lees son as a winger which means he might want 2 big strikers and two nippy ones do he has cover for each type ?

After 2 seasons bedding down I feel this is the season where I need to push on as a premier league fan and start behaving like a spoiled brat

Therefore I shall be judging players on 3 criteria: How much do they cost? Size of the club they are at? What would Paul Merson say?

£4 million is about 1/4 of Andre Grey who is less than 1/10th of a Naymar. Not a great start.

Austria wine. Who? Never seen them in the CL and that's all that matters. Branch of Oddbins perhaps?

Therefore after careful consideration I can't support this transfer. sorry. We should be looking to pay £30 million for someone like Defoe instead.
