Thought he looked a lot better yesterday. His hold up play was just as good as Deeneys, passing was better and he generally looked more hungry. It's all well getting a high transfer fee for him, but who will we get in to replace him? I very much doubt we could get in the calibre of striker that everyone thinks on here we should just go out and get.

We'd easily be able to replace him with somdbody at least a bit more consistent or who adds something else other than goals, they guys a striker and he no longer scores goals, there are plenty around who still do that we could easily afford to replace him with.

Ighalo is a poacher who no longer poaches goals

We could replace him with someone who also doesn't score, but if they have pace to stretch defences or can drop into a CF position to link midfield and attack we've already improved the team. We could even rotate Success and Penaranda alongside Deeney to build for the future

Right now he brings nothing to the table

A stint inside would do Odion the world of good. Hopefully he gets the 'Deeney effect'.

And why's that you repetitive dullard? The guy they signed in August has scored 3 in 5 games for a struggling side so far.

You have to remember that misrepresentation of age is a huge issue in Nigerian football, as young players will understate their age to improve their prospects of being noticed. Maybe Ighalo's drop in form is age? Maybe when he was banging in goals he was a 30 year old in his prime, but now he is a fading 32 year old?

Likewise, it explains why Isaac Success has such a build for a 20 year old.

Some of the looks he gave at Boro when he didn't get a free kick/penalty were reminiscent of a toddler. I though he was about to cry just before Holebas scored!

Apparently Napoli could try and sign Iggy in January. I would not be disappointed if we let him go there if the fees decent.

*****ed a hefty amount of it on Milik and Zielinski though. But with Milik out injured for a long time now, makes sense they're in the market for another striker.

Also, Gino would only be interested if we had another top-class striker coming in Jan. I doubt any amount of money would shift him otherwise.

Ighalo is not a top class player though and I think the Pozzo's would be wise enough to sell him before his price goes down.

Thought Iggy noticeably improved yesterday after his 'quick feet' and shot into the side netting. He's getting a lot of stick but he's desperately in need of a goal and we may see a different player. He worked harder yesterday so I haven't got too many complaints with his performance.

What annoyed me was the distance between him and Deeney and their inability to run the channels. They're far too easy to defend against at the moment

He looks like he's never played football. He thinks and acts so slowly and predictably.

I still love him. He's got something to him that people hate, from his first appearances in a Watford shirt some people decided he wasn't dynamic enough or interested enough or whatever. 36 goals and 77 games later he's still not good enough.

That's because he's done almost zero in the last thirty or so of those games. He's used up the capital from the early goals and has been well and truly sussed; appears to lack a football brain and can only play instinctively. January is very likely to be the last chance to get anything like decent money for him.

I thought he didn't do badly at all yesterday. Was available several time and laid the ball off, and also won a few tussles where defender was favourite. Needs a goal confidence wise but seems more involved in the play recently and dare I say it has been working on his passing.

His decision making is so frustrating. On the official site Match Highlights, move the video to 13:46 - I can't believe that he didn't see Deeney. As he didn't play him in I guess he thought there was a better option.

Immediately after that he can play Zuniga in on the overlap but ignores him too. The frustration from Capoue, Deeney and Zuniga is clear to see.

As it turns out, Zuniga ended up with the ball but it was more luck than judgement. Maybe he thought he would run down the clock but he could have played in Deeney who would have been 1 on 1 with the keeper.

I thought his original decision to run the clock down was entirely correct. But then he risked losing the ball to get it to Zuniga, possibly after an exasperated scream from his team mate.

In most cases running down the clock would be sensible but in this case Deeney would have been clean through and 1 on 1 with the keeper. It was a simple pass to play him in. Surely low enough risk to go for it?

Watching Swansea play last night It was nice to see their players just get on with it when an attack broke down and someone failed to make that final through ball. They all just ran back into position and went again. Troy really needs to learn how to do this. I'm sick to death of seeing his arms flail about in disbelief everytime the ball doesn't make it to him, even if he is marked and the route to him isn't viable. It must be terrible for the morale of his fellow players who feel obiliged to pass to him at all costs. If he worked half as much as he moaned he would score every game, at the minute he only shows up once every 4 fixtures.
