O’ oh, I can see this thread turning into an analysis of humour and a joke dissection excersize. Don’t do it people, don’t do it! This world needs comedy.

 

Yep, that’s how life works. Not controlling what people can and say. I’m sure that everybody has had a tumbleweed moment after saying something that they thought was funny. Generally people want to be accepted and that includes for what they say and do. If somebody has views that are not in step with what the rest of society currently thinks then a good humerous ribbing is an excellent way to bring them around.

You are right of course.. there are lines to be drawn and those lines are forever shifting.

I just hope they never shift so far as to take all humour out of life. There are times in this modern age when i start thinking like that.
I guess also that when i talk about knowing humour i'm relying on the fact that the other person is smart enough to recognise that. Sometimes when i see what my "mates" shares and say on social media, i'm not too sure that's the case!

 

Personal I find the concept of a Women’s Day racist against Bi and Transgenders .

 

Looks to me like we might as well rename WFC Forums as Effing Old Dinosaur Forums ...
