Lost is the first TV show to really suck me into wanting to see every episode.

Peep Show is always great, but sadly only 6 episodes a season

I watched the first series and then couldn't wait for the 2nd one, but it went off at an absolute tangent. It was clear that they were making it up as they went along and the "answers" that they promised were never in place. I stopped watching it halfway through series 2, when the polar bears and forest wind monsters stopped appearing.

TVOR, it's from "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia", my favorite show at this point in time.

    It's absurd and ridiculous.

    Exactly!

To be fair I thought Series two was ok, but it is the rest that have been ridiculous!

They posed a million questions in the first series and then posed a million more in the next four series and now realise they only have twenty episodes to tie up all the loose ends.

I mean, I don't think anyone ever explained the polar bear. Or who put the statue there, or pretty much anything.

Its a load of ********. First season was definitely one of the best television series ever though. Especially the first episode.

Other than the big American blockbusters I stated earlier I'd also say Only Fools and Horses, Scrubs, The Inbetweeners, Friends, Family Guy and South Park.

Oh and I'm just about to finish season 2 of Prison Break, considering the first season was by far the best first season of a show I've ever seen I have to say they did a fantastic job on keeping the standard so high for the second season, just hope 3 and 4 are even nearly as good.

third series did go wrong as the writers had no idea how long the studios wanted them to stretch it out for. Since getting them to confirm it, the writing has been back on track.

Where the Polar Bears came from was answered quite a while back

Just seen the first two episodes of the Pacific... so far so good, nothing compared to the first two episodes of Band of Brothers though.

Awful, awful, awful. Telegraphed, set em up and knock em down jokes and canned laughter. I preferred Diff'rent Strokes.

Having just completely finished watching all of Prison Break, I think I can say in some confidence that is indeed the greatest TV program of all time.

Prison Break and 24 > Lost.

    (Individually, not together)

People who done Prison Break knew when to stop.

Do Mock the week and A league of their own count? Both are very funny. Shame Frankie Boyle left Mock the week though

 I have all of those on DVD.

My favourite series at the moment is Luther, but it's only 6 episodes for it's debut.
