Yes. But he still won’t have trained with the squad for 2 weeks.

Nothing to stop him doing exercises and the like at home to at least keep him ticking over if he feels fine during that time.

I know. But he won’t have been involved in the matchday prep (depending on when his quarantine ended). 50 star jumps at home isn’t quite the standard I think most managers look for.

I'm sure they'll have managed to get something arranged in his (presumably) massive pad given the circumstances. Not ideal, but better than nothing

Could have easily put him on the bench if he was fit and ready. If a bid came in that we were happy with, it really wouldn't have been difficult to remove him from the squad and get the deal done. The window ended 3 hours before kick off!

This suggests that the club's story, in this case, is completely truthful. Or do we not trust Ivic's words anymore?

Looks like it’s longer than that with a stopover. If he only landed the day before the game I don’t have an issue with it. Let’s see how often he plays now

WTF does it matter why Sarr did not play, we still won without him so I say happy days all round.

Thanks - I am not one of the front line heroes - they are astonishing and yes deserve MBE;s

My organisation lost work colleagues first time round and those times are bleak

I think we are better prepared this time - we know where the pot holes are - just hope we are able to avoid them!

Yes - where did Steve Cram get to - I remember they said that he would be on the pitch to do some award thing but he pissed off when the goals kept going in!

We havn't even got going, yet we are right up there.

We are basically a new team, with little experience in this league, with a Coach who has never played in this country, after a summer of turmoil when we should not have gone down under a caretaker boss, a Captain who went on strike and hasn't wanted to be a part of our club, and several of our better players who have made it clear that they want to leave us and 10 players unavailable yesterday.

Just what on earth do people expect? Most other clubs in this league have got a settled bunch of players. And we still have a few of our best players to come back in to the team.

I get some of the criticism of the Pozzo's, and anyone that knows anything about football must rate the lack of investment in a goalscorer probably the most disgraceful, yet most obvious error, in our history apart from recruiting Walter Mazarri.

But surely football fans can recognise that we have the combination of a first class coach and the potential of a cracking Championship squad that will be one of the promotion challengers.

Why can't they see the bigger picture? Why can't people see beyond a few early poor performances ans see the potential?

Not sure why people are getting upset regarding Sarr being unavailable. He came back late from Senegal and Ivic seems very intent of only including the players that are able to be with the group. It’s one game, we have another in the week!

Also, he/his agent would have known of potential offers coming in, would his head been in the best place anyway?

But this is all irrelevant as we won without him and now the windows closed.

The reason it looked fairly good is because the shade of yellow we have this year is particularly 'golden' and relatively strong, so it stands up when used as a main block colour in its own right. Added to that, the issue with the black is that it doesn't tally with the (very cool) heathered black and yellow effect deployed on the shoulders and sleeves of the top.

By comparison, the yellow of the shorts on Friday night appeared to be exactly the same yellow all the way down, from the shirt to the socks; this created a stronger impression of cohesion throughout the strip as a whole, and looked purposeful; almost more so than the standard black, thanks to that aforementioned mismatch. As a result, I'm not saying I want yellow to be the default, but I will certainly say that I have no problem with it being used when necessary and am happy with the way it looks compared to most of our/anyone else's prior recent ham-fisted 'quick, swap the colour of the shorts out' attempts.

On a sidenote, it's funny that we have three full kits all designed specifically for us for the first time I can remember, and within five games of the start of the season we were forced to improvise a sort of bastardised fourth because none of them fell within the rules when facing a club who themselves play in probably the most pedestrian colour (or lack of) combination possible: white shirts and black shorts.

You do realise that Sema didn't play upfront, right? That was the thing that people were pointing out as bizarre in your suggested line up.

My first ever company car was a Vauxhall Viva! - That is how old i am!

I recall driving to an away game at Gillingham and something went wrong with the alternator and the battery was hyper charging - literally the acid was being boiled so I rang the AA who said that I should exit the car and stand at a safe distance - but that way I missed the game! - so I told them that I would limp into a local dealer - A mate said that what i should no was to in effect use the excess charge if we wanted to make the game - so on a warm day it was heater on full / windows open (manual winder) to let the heat and the fumes out - lights on full beam and radio (or maybe it was an 8 Track?) blaring and we reached Gillingham and dumped the car at a garage and went to the game

    I think we won 2-1

Slight ankle injury in training, or forcibly removed from the team bus by Gino Pozzo and Scott Duxbury, take your pick.

Only you could recommend we play one formation with Ken Sema as a striker, watch us win playing a completely different formation with Sema not upfront and somehow see that as vindication of your suggestion.
