We'll definitely sign another keeper. Dahlberg isn't ready to be number two. Musso would have been great, still may be, but we obviously need to stay up in order to have a chance of getting him.
I agree. The omens weren't good when he was deemed surplus to requirements at Stoke. Still, clubs do make mistakes and it was a low cost punt. He's decent for a number 3 keeper, but not really close to Gomes or Foster in terms of ability. What I saw of him against Tranmere, and I admit it's a little unfair to judge someone on one game, but he was really poor. Dropping a routine cross under no pressure to gift them their second goal. Shot stopping not too bad, but I think his handling and command of the area is very suspect. I'd be very nervous if he ever had to play in the first team.
Alan Nixon has now been suggesting the deal won't be happening as we went down. Apparently Kilmarnock don't have long enough to wait for us to make up our mind/sign a replacement.
