    He’s sensational. There’s no way we’re signing him.

    I know he’s brilliant because I signed him for Watford on FM and sold him 2 years later to Bayern for 65 million.

    He’s actually been good the few times I’ve seen him play for Boca as well.

    Before you dismiss this out of hand, take into account that he's struggled a bit of late with injuries and what not. A bit like how Will Hughes was linked with everyone for a while before they cooled on him, we might actually have a chance here

    Supposedly the interest is very serious and an offer is being made today. It would be a real coup by Gino & Co, but this does seem like the type of situation where the player will hang on for a better offer.

    If we pull this one off, then wow. He’s a €30m player, so this is not really in Watford’s price range, but knowing how we structure deals it will be full of add ons.

    Even being seriously linked to this guy is a positive step though.

    The stories are gathering pace. TYC Sports Argentina states that Watford see signing Pavón as a priority. Watford are willing to pay $22m. Not sure if that's dollars, euros or pound sterling.

    I've reviewed the footage of Deeney and Whatshisname on the pitch after the cup final and Deeney clearly says 'Get me Pavon now'.

    Although it may have been 'Get me a pie on now'.
