Top four: Arsenal, Man City, Man Utd, Spurs.

Makes sense. They have the most experience of dealing with plastics.

As this is being pushed by the BBC, I suppose next up will be research showing Women's football is carbon neutral?

With our away kit from the last few seasons, I am surprised about our lack of green credentials

I'm amazed they didn't put a transgender spin on it as not a day goes past without an article about that small demographic on the BBC News front page.

If they ever get a non-binary person of colour playing for Forest Green's ladies team, they might as well shut the BBC - they ain't going to top that.

If they're non-binary then why would they be playing for a ladies team?!

Surely clubs would need to set up an entirely new team/league for people who identify themselves by they/them pronouns?

You're right, but what if they are so genderfluid they swap gender during the game?

I reckon as long as he/she/they are a woman at the moment of scoring, it'd be ok.

"He played a great one-two there. Running past the defender, they controlled the ball first time before she smashed it into the roof of the net"

Once people start referring to themselves by they/them pronouns doesn't that also already basically discount the possibility of them "swapping" to a gender? Once they become non-binary don't they typically desire for that to become their permanent default?

There might then need to be a gender-fluid league, in addition to a non-binary league; though there could arise some complications there from if any of the players in the gender-fluid league swap to being non-binary during a match.

Actually, as we continue to explore and discover the diversity of gender, the definitions themselves become fluid and adaptable according to each individual and the way the they themselves identify and interpret themselves https://www.vice.com/en_uk/article/...n-binary-genderqueer-and-gender-nonconforming

Did you really come up with that sentence moog?

The article unfortunately does not address the most vital issue at hand, which is in what kind of league format they would wish to participate in were they to play football.

I found this part of it especially revelatory though:
"“To me, ‘genderqueer’ represents a queering of gender, so to speak,” said Laura A. Jacobs".

I made it up but it was my vague recollection of the word salad in the article itself.

    The world is going mad.
If there are so many variations of gender, I am beginning to ‘queery’ where I am in the scheme of things?
    upload_2019-11-15_8-24-45.jpeg

If all ‘men’ have some female hormones and all ‘women’ have some male hormones then we are ALL non binary.
Where oh where in this PC world am I?
I now need a psychiatrist and personal mentor to help keep my sanity as this conundrum weighs heavily on my mind.
I’m now having sleepless nights worried I may be a Nurgle or a Khorne which I always thought was a non-meat meat substitute.
    HELP!!

What on earth is all this nonsense doing on a football forum, or any forum for that matter?

Just in case anyone seeing that is unaware, both of those are members/units of the Chaos army from the mythology surrounding the popular tabletop game Warhammer 40,000, as are Tzeentch, Slaanesh, Chaos Undivided and Necron (Necron aren't actually Chaos, they're a separate alien race of their own, but ho hum).

We’re all bored to tears as it’s yet another international break and England vs no mark teams is very very boring.

U may have noticed that virtually all threads get hijacked and go off at a tangent to discuss in depth something totally irrelevant.

Compared to most other footie forums, we’re just a very cerebral group who don’t just rant about the football.

Gender is a hot topic, or so it appears to the BBC who force it into the national debate at every opportunity. And somehow (not me) it entered on this thread.

Thanks to the BBC and government edicts on teaching sex education and ‘gender’ issues to primary school children, I’m now having nightmares about how in touch with my feminine side I am, or am not, and I thought I would share my concerns with my fellow Orns.

    And there’s no game today.

    That’s what.

What is worrying is that we are actually bottom (by a considerable stretch) of this league given all the other very positive stuff we do.

    Look on this positively.

Being bottom of this stupid Green League, means being top of the league in upsetting Guardian reading, rainbow flag waving, RIGHT ON, virtue signalling hippies.

I for one am proud of that, and long may it continue.
