Delusions of forum members past are also an a-typical sign & indeed they are systematic of the delusions of 'higher number participants' within the aforementioned Amber category group. This is of no concern, it's an habitual behaviour pattern & can be predicted, usually around 10 years of forum membership.

Incidentally, a '12 step forum recovery programme' for members on the cusp of Amber:Red categories is currently in the final stages of development & will shortly be underway.

Going Down has expressed mild interest already & group discount rates are kindly being sponsored externally, however only if it is deemed that the forum member/s in question will benefit from the programme & of course after full & thorough risk assessment.

The course is planned be run at VR in the sensory room.

Cassetti's Beard's risk assessment is currently under due consideration. Please check back shortly.

Your colour grouping for different members is getting all a bit... wierd. At first, I thought it was a joke, but now it seems you are actually judging people on the number of posts they have made?

This is all a bit too strange... You're definitely a cast-away from the Outlast Forum

I like what you're doing here, cute.

But as an admin/staff member is there not at least some modicum of duty for you to be honest?! You know very well I have never had any alias.

Your reply to this will confirm, so I at least know where I stand. All I ask is for a fair fight!

    You hold the cards granted.

    Cheers

I didn't go to the game on Saturday, so I do feel a bit hypocritical here I must admit but one thing that stood out for me on Saturday from watching on a stream was just how quiet it was.

Literally didn't hear a anything from the home fans all game, apart from in the 72nd minute.

What's happened? The atmosphere seems to have gotten worse the last couple of years. The flags, the floaters etc. are all great but there's still barely any noise being created.

I went on Saturday and atmosphere very subdued. Crowd I think went expecting a win. Difficult to get enthused though as Stoke sucked any excitement out of the game.

It was fine to start with and got going a bit again in the last ten minutes. But I agree it wasn't great in the middle. A reflection on the dire nature of the match really. It's hard for the 1881 and the rest of the home crowd to manufacture an 'atmosphere' out of nothing.

The only way to improve the atmosphere at matches is to allow drinking alcohol at your seat, and have those chaps wandering around with those massive beer canisters on their back to top you up at your seat.

    It's really very simple.

There's never really been any atmosphere at Vicarage Road. Just like 95% of the other grounds in the country and every other PL ground. Fans tend to sing when they're winning and, frankly, 3 years ago we were winning a lot so everyone was loving it. There was a bit of initial excitement and tension to keep people going before Christmas in the QSF season and that was it really.

Yup you're right. I was there and you could, embarrassingly, almost hear a pin drop, other than the 72nd. Have come to the conclusion we are one of those clubs that only gee up the team when they are playing well (at home). I remember the days in the late 90's/early 2000 when there was a drummer & a trumpeter at the back of the Rookery who always got things going, would love to see that back.

And no, I do not believe it is true that 95% of other clubs are like that as another poster has said.

Don't really think anybody is wrong here. Stoke carried out the perfect away performance, really limited us from creating a really clear cut opportunity and broke up the game quite well so of course it was difficult to get excited about. I just feel that sometimes when the atmosphere is better the players do react to it and play at a faster tempo.

Whilst UEA is right in saying that most home grounds are quiet, I still think we are far worse than most. You could hear a pin drop at times on Saturday, and that is rarely the case with other stadiums I've gone to. It's all just a bit dull and something desperately needs to be done about it. 1881 are trying but being stuck down in that corner the sound rarely travels. And, some of the songs they try to start simply will never catch on. Keep it simple. Everyone knows Watford fans cant sing a song with more than a sentence in it.

I'd love it if we were able to do this, sadly will never happen.

Our home atmosphere is very poor. Soundwise, we are probably amongst the bottom 5 clubs in the league. Our flags etc are brilliant and do add to the enjoyment of the day, but the 1881 are in the very worst part of the ground. Ideally, they'd take a number of rows at the front of the Rookery, and stretch along the stand.

I moved from the Rookery to the SEJ a few years ago, and I cannot believe how negative it is. Absolutely quiet for about 5 minutes, and then a panicked yell when any mistake is made. One or two players per match get completely trashed, even after man of the match performances, just because it's cool to hate them. It's all very lame and hipster.

I love the view, but I wouldn't wish some of the people around me on my worst enemies.
