No not at all. But if he becomes manager he will get my support. But in all honesty I'm bemused with the appointment if in fact true. Maybe all the Prima Donna's need is a good screaming at. Roll on Anfield... o_O

It is heartening to see the comments from our Leicester friends, looking back with fondness on their time as a club with a basket case manager, but frankly, I don't think anyone here would have wanted Nigel Pearson as our manager and nobody suggested him or added him to any fantasy wish list.

Gino has shown me conclusively that he's operating completely reactively and without direction and I fear this would be another error on top of the other catalogue of mistakes that the club have made over the past 2 years.

NP isn't the person to turn our fortunes around and it won't end well. I suppose I can take some comfort from the fact that a few of our players might cry after a bollocking or headbutt from NP, but I think he'll take us down and then he'll be gone.

I don’t think it has been a short space of time. It’s been happening slowly for quite some time and was always leading to a crescendo like this unless something was as rectified. It wasn’t, so here we are. Most fans saw it but the owners were arrogant and ignorant to it.

I have everything crossed that talks fall through at the last minute. Or that Pearson headbutts Giraldi as soon as he arrives at the training ground and tells him to do one. Nothing else will suffice.

Then who do you think is and why do you think Pearson wouldn't stick around to get us back us up?

Big Sam was the only one who most people on here weren't opposed to getting the job, but I'd prefer either Pearson or Hughes over him, though I suspect I'm very much in the minority.

Well that's exactly what a lot of people did when Quique was first appointed, preferring to focus on this Europa League win from five years before rather than his underwhelming work after that!

That's what we're missing. Except rather than it being directed at fans it should be at the players.

If these are true, there can be absolutely no doubt left that Gino is just cocking about now with his ownership. They’ve totally lost the plot.

I have to agree. This season has been an utter shambles from start to finish. I have no idea why they've gone from astute masters, always ahead of the curve to Mr Bean. It's bizarre at how ridiculous they're making themselves look.

I don't believe for one second that is true, but if it is, it's every bit as random and embarrassing as it would be having an owner flapping around in a car park with his stack of A4 papers proving he has 'funds' and then getting filmed having his tiny maggot sucked by a brass.

What an absolute basket case we are.

To think that only a few months ago people were ******* themselves silly about how well run a club we were and how good an owner Gino is.

Definitely time for him or whoever is making these decisions to go

Sorry but up until the start of the season very few people had complaints with Gino, obviously the summer recruitment was an issue. I doubt very few people could have predicted the way this season has panned out though. What a mess.

More that the squad we have had peaked and burnt itself out.

If the Pozzos took their eye off the ball it was in being too slow to replace the players passed their best and with little more desire or motivation left after reaching the cup final.

I think we are going for a medley of Watford greatest hits

manager playlist for the season is

    Gracia
    QSF

Followed by 1 month each of
    Walter
Gracia (after issues have sorted out)
    Boothroyd
Joka to take us to the end of the season

    Latest news from SSN:-

Watford started talks with Pearson last night and these have continued today. Pearson is keen on joining and would like to bring Craig Shakespeare with him.

That's brilliant to hear. I'm really excited by this latest development and is the clincher for me. They would be superb for this club.

Not particularly bothered if it’s Pearson, because I have no hope left for this season, but I take heart from the possibility that he’d be willing to refuse any interference in team selection etc from Giraldi.

I wonder who would win the debate. Giraldi with his Italian mafia or Pearson with his Peaky Blinders connections.

Btw, nice of AJ to give Watford a bit a love during his weigh in. Top bloke......and he'd probably settle all debates.

Pearson 1/33 to be the next manager. I think a change of direction to an English manger is worth a try, and probably a result of input from the players. I am wondering want the bed-wetters who are complaining about the appointment hoped to be the next manager. Or is it a case that any appointment would have been criticised?

There’s ‘too slow to replace’ and then there’s ‘continually give them new contracts’.

Why? I agree that both can’t be true really but I could certainly envisage either situation being accurate.

1/33 now so would seem this is pretty much a done deal. I'm not sure how to feel about this apart from to wish him luck and hope he's successful. How different things look now compared to after the semi final vs Wolves. It's like a soap opera. It's clear though, especially reading the interview with Foster, that we need somebody who will kick some of the players up the backside so he might be the man. I don't believe for one minute we asked Gracia back.
To those Leicester fans on here currently, few questions.
Did he give the younger players a chance?
What kind of football are we likely to see?
Is having Shakespeare a necessity, ie will it not work without him
