Anthony Joshua scored a 2nd round KO in Saudi tonight!!! Could he be back and ready to take on Tyson Fury?

If he fights Fury he'll put him out cold. I've said it for years, and I've never been more confident of it that now.

He’s got better since Deeney stopped managing him.

This probably could’ve gone in the dedicated boxing thread, an actual professional boxer beating a 37 year old who has had one boxing match in his entire life is a non-story.

The manner in which it went down, and the fact of what went before it with him having given Fury such a hard time, makes it far from a non-story.

I don't think beating Ngannou in itself is impressive because he's not a real boxer, but he's a tough motherf**ker who people said couldn't be hurt, and knocking him out cold so quickly the way he did is what is impressive.

AJ has always come across as a nice bloke in the ring, not really ruthless enough to make it to the very top.

In this match and the last couple of months, you've seen that attitude change. Rather than pick his moments and go for the KO when the time felt right, he looked like he went in there to do a job and did it well.

He's a two time world champion who unified the division, with a very high KO percentage and more top 10 ranked fighters and world champions on his CV than anyone?

Lennox got the same when he was still active. People rated Bruno more highly until he was dealt with. When Lennox retired the division went into hibernation for a decade. Same will happen when AJ packs it in. Biggest draw in the division if not boxing as a whole. Brought back PPV in the UK, heavyweight interest in the US, Saudi involvement only started because of him.

He’ll get the respect one day, when everyone moans about how dead the sport is again.
