I had a similar experience with a gf wanting to go to Paris for the weekend. This was before we played Bradford City. She said the same thing, that it would be a rubbish match and we'd probably lose. In those days it was a case of walking past a TV shop in order to get the half time scores. Couldn't believe it.....Watford were winning 5-0 at half time. The rest of the trip was quite a sulky one.
