Good news. All we need now is 5,000 day trippers/Arsenal fans per game and we'll have a new stand.

I am not sure how this compares to last season but over 10,000 sounds a decent number

Well more fool them. If they've paid for the ST, they'd be imbeciles to just not go!

Capacity is currently 17.5k, with 2.2k for away fans, so 5.3k left for turnstiles.

Duxbury said we have to hit an average of 15000 for them to build a new East stand not 17000

Should be there or thereabouts for most home games. Maybe more for the bigger supported away clubs!

To be honest I don't think people would pay for season tickets and not attend the games.

Top effort with a more to come apparently. With the season still 2 months away there is still plenty of time to get this closer to 12000. Just out of interest does anybody know how many season tickets we can sell presuming we wouldn't sell out the whole capacity as this doesn't allow for new supporters or one who can't make it every week.

You will always get a proportion of ST holders who can't make every game - I know if I'm working abroad I try to get someone else to go on my card but not everyone can be arsed to do this. I would guess at least 10% don't make it each week.

This exactly. One of the reason's why there has been an increase in applications is because of the type of free flowing football Watford now play and the goals that have consistently been put past opposition keepers.

Sure the proposition of Premier League football encouraged people too but it isn't the only reason.

Great news, good work by the club, lets hope it is half as good as last season! If you know someone who is not using their ticket borrow it and drag someone along! Don't moan if the club do tickets for ten pound and other offers, lets get the vic full week in week out, my only moan is that I think it should include a couple of cup games, or if you are a season ticket holder it is bogof to try and get full cup games.

All we need is a pre season to spain or Italy !

last season on average 1,600 fans per game never turned up that bought season tickets, hence the club was always asking those to give up there seats so others could attend.

I was a whisker away from getting a ST this year, but as soon as the Palace penalty went in I quietly did a slow fist pump. So chuffed that I didn't waste £500 on watching us play Championship crap again.

    Hi
I ve been reading a lot about the season tickets etc for next year and I thought I'd give my two pence or £350 worth lol

Origionally a Cambridge United fan born and bred, moved to Wycombe, more into my Rugby than my football but lucky enough to get a Man Utd season ticket last season so saw plenty of them. However spent the latter part of the season down The Vic.... My lad started playing in the academy last year and so a one off visit turned into the norm.

In a nut shell the football Watford played last season (when on song) was amazing... I watched UTD many times and apart from some tighter organisation around the back 4 (obviously some individual quality) I thought Watford played the better football.... I have no regrets in buying a Season tickets for next year, £350 for me and the boy.. And givimg my UTD one back...

Yes the thought of getting the early bird price and watching premiership football was a factor in getting it in early but I'm still looking forward to the season, the attractive football, the signings, banter and A LOT more pleasant environment to watch football (less swearing) ....

So for those people that did get a ticket on the hope we'd get up... Get on with it get behind the Hornets and help them get up next year.. Before you know it you ll be a fan, adrenalin pumping at matches and asking the same questions as everyone else 'why won't Zola play Vydra AND Forri at the same time'

And anyway, Yeovil is a lot nicer than Manchester, especially on a Tuesday night...

    All the best

    A newly converted

I've been reading Yeovil Town's page on the football ground guide website. It really doesn't look nicer. The ground is miles away from the frigging station and the town is small. But hey it's a new ground for me. And it's good that we are getting more converts. Please tell me you sing though...

Also what rugby team do you support/follow?

Welcome to the forum Rugby balls!

Yeovil's ground is hard to get to from the station and very small but it's a nice place to watch football.

It's a terrific effort to sell 10,000 already. Attendances at the start of last season weren't great..it's nice to see people being won over by Zola's terrific football and the promise of goals.

LOL Well I s'pose its better to plough money into the club than stand back and shout I'm a supporter and do nothing like so many others! like spending £170 in the club shop 3 weeks before finding out the kit was changing and everything went half price...

I went to the old Yeovil ground, the cross bar at one end was lower than the ground at the opposite 18 yard box... you had to tie yourself to the burger van to stop rolling down the pitch.

Sadly I'm a Wasps man.. nice and easy playing in Wycombe as well.. at the moment :/ and games on Sundays

I hope you let the club know when you're not attending so they can sell it on to Arsenal fans and Kids u-9 teams from Enfield.

I hope nobody bought that spare seat (or occasionally two spare seats) next to me. My space. I don't want any Watford fans next to me whilst I'm in my United shirt.
