It's time. Sorry but he's lost me. We also need to see Ighalo, Capoue, Holebas, Kaboul and several others shipped out ASAP. Club is on the slide.

Agreed. I would keep Capoue and Holebas though. We need a manager who can get them fired up. At the moment both of them do not seem motivated at all.

Agree we change formation from week to week something wrong with the amount of injuries we get players look unfit
Webb need a change or we could go down only palace got less points than us in 2016

Also after the second goal today, I saw Mazzari telling the players to calm down. **** that. Get them fired you *****.

I think he's gone solely because the system hasn't improved given the time he's had. I don't agree with Holebas leaving....hopefully 1 or 2 English players come in to gives us back some identity.

  6. Agree, he's had his 6 months and we look actually worse than when under QSF

As for shipping out players I'd offload Deeney, Iggy, Gueds, Watson, Zuniga, Kaboul

    Foolish knee jerk nonsense.

Yes Ighalo out. Yes Gueds out. Yes get some recruits in, but give the manager time to sort it out.

What's the point? We'll only get another shyte Head Coach in.

He isn't motivating the players. That might be more to do with their attitudes than his methods, but he's sending sides out who just don't give a monkey's.

I hope he's sacked too. Then all the mentally weak wasters in the squad can have yet another stay of execution with a new assessment period under another head coach and really big issues like the ill-discipline and lack of youth development can be ignored again.

You'd ship Watson out? If fit I'd put him in the team.

We weren't letting teams walk through the middle when he played last season, whatever you say about his dynamism.

I agree that those issues need addressing, but it doesn't follow that keeping a coach who has done nothing to motivate or drill his players should be at the expense of that.

  13. Yes I would because he's not the answer

While I'm at it I'd also offload Mariappa - that was a stupid waste of time and money signing if ever I saw it. Let go by a Palace side who are almost as defensively poor as us.

  14. Travis Bickle

Sorry but halfway through the season, what is the answer? The problem last season was zero attacking midfield threat. We now have it but everyone's injured. Until we have better he should play. Same with calls to change the manager again - not the answer to a poor run of form.

Why? Mariappa isn't contributing at all at the moment so he's not to blame. So why look at him when there's 11 others in a queue to blame first.

This is guesswork. Mazzarri could be a fantastic motivator but if the players don't want it, performances like today can happen.

I'm not saying whether it's down to WM or the players, because I don't know. But based on the fact we've had the same problems of lack of fight and motivation, carried over two separate head coaches, suggests to me there's a chance it's down to the group of players, rather than the Head Coach. Although it could a mix of the two.

Or even more than that, we've just got an average lower mid table squad, who when savaged by injuries will lose more often than win, regardless of manager!

I would agree. If the owners are prepared to take a view and ship out 5-6 of the ones who started today as well as some of the other deadwood and then Wally can get them to implement a game plan, then fair enough. Maybe I should've said "we need a big change," but that wouldn't have been as provocative, though the fact that none of the moderates have yet called me a ****, suggests that Wally's currency with most of the fans is pretty low.

  20. Is not and never was good enough for the prem. Stupid signing which could and should have been filled by a youth player

I recall saying exactly the same when Gueds came back and everyone shouted me down at the time

A championship side with injuries wouldn't set up like we did today against a free-scoring Spurs side. Ok, we're down to bare bones, so set up with a deep, packed midfield in front of the back four and make it hard for Spurs. We played open and disorganised football, but with zero attacking threat as a benefit. It was terrible tactics.

No manager should be setting his side up like we did today under the same circumstances. That was terrible and that's what makes Mazarri culpable in my view.

I think he's being asked to deal with things that barely ever happen and he has to be judged accordingly. When was the last time we had two games in a row where the formation had to change within a minute of the start, as we have vs Palace and Spurs, because of a player injury? It's fine banging on about drilling players and having a game plan but you can't legislate for that and you have to acknowledge it completely ruins any plans you can reasonably make. He hasn't been able to play the same back three, let alone five, all season. He's being forced to start players who couldn't even make the bench for the first ten games. And all that with a squad of players he largely inherited and has naturally had to spend time assessing in competitive play.

And now as he gets to his first proper transfer window knowing what he thinks he needs to improve on in our squad, and with a pretty good league table position under his belt to boot, people are ramping up the pressure and calling for him to be binned? We deserve relegation if that's a reflection of where our fans sit.

What the hell happened to Zuniga who was named in the starting line up. Did he get injured in the warm up? The injuries we are getting are farcical. Any team would struggle with the lack of continuity in the team. As a result we are a poor team that doesn't know what there doing.

The Pozzo's care about their money and if they see the fans not turning up to games or streaming out 30 minutes before the game finishes, then they'll make some changes - whether that's by changing the Head Coach, investing heavily in players or a mixture of both.

Who is in charge of our recruitment policy again? Can't belive we've spent almost 30 mill on Jurado, Suarez, Oulare and Docoure

When are you people going to realise that it is not only about winning or losing, it is also about the manner of how we are playing as that gives an indication of our potential, or lack of it. A good coach makes the best use of what he has, Walter just hasn't.

No one, even the most pessimist amongst us, would have been critical had we played something like we are capable of doing, as depleted as we are. Today, our defence was very experienced, all being internationals and our "attack" (for want of a better word) was the best we have got, but we were woeful at both ends. You cannot blame injuries for that.
