Much more important news - Holebas's fashion label won the contract for Nigeria's WC travelling outfits...... (and it's fortunate that Iggy doesn't live on the same street as Michael McIntyre)
Finally we look like HORNETS. I really like it. Now if we can get Holebas's fashion label to create some wings and antenna we would really look the part. Harry and Harriet have their nest at last.
You fkcuer! I've just spat "Slimms Royale*" all over my PC screen. *FWIW Lidl is selling a very good Triple sec (£6) and an "Orange brandy liqueur" (a very acceptable replacement for Orange Curacao) at the moment.
Where are people getting Dortmund from? I can't find evidence they've ever had a conventional black and yellow striped kit? PS we have though.. we'll a training kit anyway..
My favourite Watford away shirt was the 1996 red and black striped effort. Very much liking this shirt. May be the first one for ages that I buy at the start of the season and not half price at the end!
They had a black and yellow striped kit in 2012- 13 Champions League. I can recall us playing in a black and gold striped kit in a testimonial at Vicarage Road in the mid seventies. Can't remember who against though. Love this new kit.
For those wanting a cheaper version* of the shirt (sort of) - these are available for £22/23! I'm sure amongst the crowd nobody will notice the difference....... *Okay - not cheap, but less than half the price https://www.pslteamsports.com/Adidas-Striped-15-SS-Jersey--BlackYellow_p_5510.html http://www.prodirectsoccer.com/prod...5-Short-Sleeve-Jersey-Black-Yellow-97248.aspx
Really like it. Clearly going for an eye sore that will confuse opposition players in a moment. Going from one solid colour on the back to a different style on the front will see us finally score and win away! It will have nothing to do with Gracia or the players, just the kit.
The bottom one.. just about, though it has some odd thorn type things. The top one is not a conventional striped shirt at all.
We could incorporate elements from the Polish winged hussars to gain an advantage by striking fear into the hearts of our opponents:
I assume the clubs relationship is no longer with Bet138, if so I wonder who the shirt arm sponsor will be?
Like the kit, but the FX Pro logo ruins it for me, clive. It looks hideous. Without that it'd be a very good kit IMO.
I think the comparisons are just a whiff of fantasising WFC being what Dortmund are. Playing in Europe, the big vocal wall of support etc. There aren't many big or successful clubs around the place who wear yellow and black who we can envisage being in our moments of football fantasy! And that lower picture is pretty conventional but yeah, I give you the other is pretty stylised - in a bad way.
Belgium playing with Adidas yellow shirt, black shorts and yellow socks at the moment. Looks nice as well. Numbers in front would be replaced by Fx obviously. Nice indeed.
Yellow and black stripes has always won the poll when the club or WO has put a choice to the fans. The kit looks great. As some have said already, red socks would have looked cool instead of black.
I have a memory of Watford wearing a striped kit as a one off for a friendly or testimonial in the mid 70s (pre GT) - Alan Mayes era. Anyone else remember this?
Yeah Warrington mentioned it above. I'll do some digging. Pretty sure it would have been this training kit..
I am really not sure about the stripes ... For an away kit maybe but it feels so wrong on first impressions Not a bad kit in itself but did think of Dortmund when I saw it rather than the Golden Boys (that label will have to go)
Not unlike Berwick Rangers http://www.thefootballnation.co.uk/berwick-rangers-home-shirt-2017-19-mitre
Makes me think the black sleeves were a better choice than yellow looking at that wee beastie of a kit
