Have we seen the last of him - unused sub in the 2 previous games and not even on the bench yesterday.
We have probably already signed him but will not let anyone know until we release him/send him on loan in January to some South American second division side.
"It's no secret that had Watford let the boss go to Everton, he wanted me to go with him. In this moment we are waiting to see what happens over the next few days to see if a deal can be done"
Bye! I was excited when we first signed him and he has ability, but effectively did absolutely f**k all.
Our only World Cup star (unless Kompany doesn't recover) and we want him gone. Even to Everton. Especially to Everton
Does anyone know if there is a date by when the option to buy Carrillo expires. If he has a decent World Cup, Gino might take up the option and almost immediately sell him on for a few million profit.
Carrillo's very decent performance this afternoon I believe proves what most Hornet's fans suspected - that he didn't really want to be here after his snakey matey got the sack. Motivation added to his undoubted talent produces a fine player, but without it you get the Carrillo we mostly saw last season. I'd be very surprised to see him sign here permanently; less surprised at seeing him go to Everton.
He was crap even when Silva was here, so I don't think he saw playing for Watford as any more than a training exercise
Its criminal the way players go from club to club with the pay days the motivator more than what happens on the pitch!
I never saw a particular lack of effort - he started well and then we got worse. He never seemed to not try when he came on, but it had soured. A talented player.
Remember the player still has to want to sign for us, even if the idea is to move on immediately...I’d say the chances of seeing Carrillo in a yellow shirt again are less that 1% given all the circumstances around him.
Talented, but he played the game in his own little world. I don't think I've ever seen a player so oblivious to what's going on around him. Probably gets away with it in slower leagues, but he was a liability every time he played
Don't know if you saw his Peru showing but he was unrecognisable. Just everywhere whenever they went forwards. For us, there were flashes and some good runs with good control. He doesn't deserve the terrible reviews he's getting as his stats (2 goals and 2 assists I think) are not awful, but he was more than adequate in any performance for us, that I can remember.
If my wife's anything to go by Peruvian's don't like it when the temperature drops below 15°C, so he'll probably do worse for a northern team.
