The circus and tedious hype will start again soon. 115 Breaches FC will win the title and the Orangemen will record a total lower than Derby County. Other than that more mind numbing drivel for another ten months.
New ball for the new season. It looks hideious like sombody has got a paintbrush and flicked orange paint all over it. Nike' can do a lot better. For a bit of contrast, here is the "ball" for the new Champo season.
Brighton away is a bloody hard fixture now for most teams. Burnley might be winnable, depends on how they themselves fair against Man City (loss). Chelsea away who are still in a total mess unless they sort it out quickly. Possible 4 points up for grabs. Obviously them getting zero would be better.
The Qataris are taking over Man U then? https://www.reuters.com/markets/dea...h-qatars-sheikh-jassim-6-bln-plus-2023-06-15/
It looks like a Lootown ball. It's a disgrace what they charge for football's these days. Daylight robbery.
Just like many sports for the purposes of sportwashing. The moralizing of many sportspeople and their sheer greed boggles the mind. Bunch of hypocrites like most politicians.
First Premier league “sacking” of the season potentially Not from a club but Sky . Tyler been pushed out ? https://twitter.com/samwallacetel/status/1669963576369455105?s=46&t=t81Aq55gHo2Ux-JjWVzPPA
Neves moves to Saudi Arabia . All about the money as surely at 26 he’d want to move to a proper league in Europe if staying in England wasn’t an option . Probably will be in a year ..
I remember thinking the same when Oscar moved from Chelsea to China at a similar age, but he seems to have spent the rest of his career there up to now.
If you move to China\Saudi etc just to earn money that you will never spend at the expense of your career then that is sad . If you move so that you can earn enough money to make a difference, for example Didier Drogba financing a hospital in his homeland ,then Chapeau to that person.
This is actually quite sad. Easily capable of being top 6 PL midfielder and he's now in a desert. Of course the money is going to ridiculous, probably enough to sustain him forever by playing for one year - but don't do it in your prime years.
PIF owns Al Hilal and Newcastle, so he’ll be back in the Prem in Jan, no doubt with Newcastle not paying any of his wages as a nice little way of cheating FFP.
Yup. There's also speculation the Saudis are doing Todd Boehley an FFP favour at Chelsea too: https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/chelsea-transfers-saudi-boehly-pif-30260061
Whilst legal, that does not sit right. There's really nothing that the powers that be can do about it.
Seems harsh, I thought he done a pretty good job there last season. Assuming they've got a sexier name lined up.
Seems to have done well in Spain with a team likely to fight relegation but maybe harder in England. TBH Bournemouth fans don't seem that fussed O'Neil has gone. A lot had doubts about him long term around tactics and subs.
Just read that his “successor” Peter Drury is a Watford fan, sort of! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Drury Another one for our celebrity fan list, and maybe he’ll bad mouth Luton a bit for us?
I remember him being highly complimentary in a newspaper column about WFC under GT in our first PL season.
Yes we have a few fans in sporting media. Peter Drury, Kelly Sommers (Final Score), Emma Saunders (Sky Sports), a member of Final Score's production team (if that even counts), Andrew French (obviously). Could be more also. We are quite a well liked club.
