Draw made on Friday. Home to winners of Newcastle v. Arsenal (playing tomorrow night).

Won it 1982 & 1989, Finalists in 1985, it's the kids version of the F.A. Cup so always a significant feather in our caps if we can make further progress.

 

Watched them win it in 1982 vs MU. Something like 4-4 AET at home having won the first leg 3-2 at Utd..???? Whiteside & Hughes in the MU attack.

Last night's result....

So home to Arsenal it is then.

 

I saw the home leg of the 85 final, which featured Gazza for Newcastle.

 

I was at the home leg in 82, Man U had whiteside and Hughes playing for them we still beat them!

 

Now showing on F.A. website as MONDAY 6th FEBRUARY.

 

Good, won’t clash with our trip to Everton on the Saturday.

 

Me too...and Whiteside was in the NI squad for the '82 World Cup later that year. Mind you, we did decide to allow John Barnes to play in the final.

 

Quarter Finals have been drawn.

SHOULD we beat Arsenal on Monday evening, we will have a home quarter-final v winners of Cambridge/Sheff Wed.

 

Enjoyed the Everton game the other week, so will venture down on Monday evening.
