Big chance for Ngakia now with Gosling injured and Gaspar unable to run for more than 45 minutes. Bilic will surely give him a chance as he hasn’t seen him play yet, hopefully he can stay fit and find a bit of form. Like Dele-Bashiru, Ngakia might not be the answer to our problems but for me he’s a better bet than Cathcart or Gaspar.
Yeah but is he still alive? Going by our average matchday intensity I reckon a corpse could put out top stats in training.
https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/23162293.watford-defender-ngakia-cant-wait-playing/ Nothing really new in this article. Didn't know he had a back issue though and seems ready to start games.
Thought he was impressive today, pretty adventurous going forward too, a rare bright mark on a drab drab game
Looks like he's playing his first professional game over and over again, some good moments but a lot of errors mixed in
Sometimes you don't realise what you have until it's gone . Kiko looks a better player every week now he isn't here
Kiko was an incredible player at this level, but it shouldn't have been so difficult to replace him as we made it look, Laird was right there for us!
The squad of players we didn't buy because of penny pinching, bad reputation, not being Belgium is formidable.
I don't like to single Bayo out, he's not our worst summer signing, and it's not his fault, but my God, what could we have done with £5m if we didn't spunk that money on him? Manaj is many shades of awful, but such penny-pinching almost feels an inevitability of wasting so much money
The guy is either a ghost or a hologram. No other possible reason how players and the ball go through him with such ease.
And the goalie -Okoye?- not even on bench last few games - Hamer is the go to back up yet we spent £6m on Okoye
Okoye, Kalu, Bayo….all worth a punt. Total cost excluding wages about £15m of our transfer budget in the last 12 months ?
Wouldn't £15m be our 3rd most expensive signing (behind Sarr ~£30m and Gray £18m)? Doesn't seem as much of a bargain when you look at it like that.
I didn’t think it was a bargain. I think it was a waste of £15m that could have easily been better spent.
Can't get my head around this chap. One minute he looks quick and technically good, the next he looks like he's just woken up and forgotten where he is.
I was worried for him when he was booked so early yesterday but he grew into the game. Steady, committed and a cool head - he did well.
