Anyone feel Prince Andrew’s Covid infection was a little convenient?

My daughter received one in the post from her school so looks like they are. She was suitably unimpressed.

Edit: Hadn’t read the full thread when I posted this so see this has already been answered, sorry!

Need her to survive the next few weeks - can’t take any more disruption to external exams, plus the kids have a huge party planned for the 23 June when they’re due to end so don’t want this date pushed back.

Now that the beacon is lit, hopefully Gondor will come to our aid.

I think she might well step down as soon as this jamboree is over.

I guess that would still mean a day off for Charles’ coronation but that will take several months to set up.

Ridgeway is a lovely pint, surprised Tring didn't do a special for the Jubilee. Ended up picking a poly of Jubilee ale from Chiltern, very fruity golden ale.

Apparently the '77 coin is pretty worthless - which is frustrating as I'd based my retirement plans on selling it

Yes, why don't they have dreadlocks or go for the ultra-cropped look with a Nike logo shaved into the back?

    The best anthem in Britain.
The Welsh anthem is by far the best in Britain, you can’t fail to be inspired by its singing at sporting events if you’re there ....

Sunday’s Wales vs Ukraine game for World Cup entry for example will be an emotional event whatever the result ...

To gauge the farcical level that I find the entire 'thing': I'm in the kitchen preparing lunch for son and his band, washing machine's going and R4's playing in the background: "And now won R4 we'll be looking at how the 70 years of HM's reign has been celebrated through poultry". OK I think to myself, there must have been a number of chicken breeds which have been named after Frau Windsor... I was very surprised to then hear a show featuring John Masefield, Cecil Day-Lewis, John Betjemen, Ted Hughes...

Very surprised with the low key response where I am. It’s almost as though no one in Kuusamo Finland gives a damn. Still, it’ll be part of Russia soon anyway.

Turn off the radio and TV is my advice, there’s another 3 days of this syrup..

She's still got the Commonwealth Games to wave at before any thoughts of stepping down.

One of the best renditions was for the semi-final against Austria a few weeks ago. Even hearing it on S4C made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end.
