Correct Score League - Leaderboard

As promised, the full league table up to this point if you want to check scores. It's pretty wide so I've hidden it behind a spoiler tag.

League Table after Week 28:

Manatleisure is now officially the one to catch after quickly recovering from week 27, his 21 point lead is huge. another_mrlizard's stutter is now officially a slump and of the top 12 only Horace and Warehouse showed some cajones this week.




Current Form:

VoR leads the pack with UEA and MaL also posting impressive figures.

 

If I can lead the current form in this game then so can Watford for the last 9 games of the season...

THE 'ORNS ARE STAYING UP ​

 

17 points from 3rd, 16 points from 11th.

Not sure if I should be looking up the table or behind me!

 

By my calculations we have 8 weekends of game play left.

 

Will there be an fa cup end of season special?!

 

The only thing I'm considering is having every match for the final week as they all kick off at the same time. I don't want to wreck the integrity of the competition by going crazy, (as we saw in F1), but it could make an interesting end.

Next season I'll run a few extra side competitions.

 

I just noticed that Manatleisure is exactly 100 points ahead of me. That's an average of 3.5 points better every week. Could this season get any worse?

 

I like it. It would just act like having two gameweeks in one. Not sure any integrity is wrecked as no advanced planning takes place, and I'm not sure why having all the fixtures would create any more unfairness than having half which you pick, but if there is serious push back you could just half the points per match.

 

Yes. You could be two places lower in the table (albeit having picked up form)!

 

Then all the play-offs between the prem, champ and division one sections of the table. Hope you weren't thinking of getting a break this summer ?

 

To be fair we should probably include the Women's Euros as well

 

I like the F1 idea, all of us at the back are allowed to unlap ourselves and go on to win!

 

League Table after Week 29:

Up at the top Manatleisure drops 8 points to Another_mrlizard so this competition is very much alive. Dreadnought drops out of the top 3 as goldpapaya beats his weekly score by 5. Warehouse is making big strides every week, since week 25 he's been on fire. VoR sneaks into the Prem places with his 25.

You can see why VoR and Warehouse are climbing the table and why Manatleisure keeps that top spot.

 

Very soon I'll drop the weekly average from the table so that we can see the real fight for Championship places.

 

Now 11 points from 3rd, 14 points from 11th.

I reckon I'm still in with a chance of top 3 and relegation to the championship!

 

No Watford in this week's fixtures?

Possibly one of the only times I may have put us down for a win or at least a draw!

Your early season form has seen you cling on to that Championship spot despite the recent form. Hang in there TUT.

 

I'm relying on a new killer covid strain to come along and get the season abandoned while I'm mathematically safe based on points per game. Fingers crossed. Ring any bells ?

Got to say this league split was a fantastic idea Diamond. Basically almost everyone down to abou 26 still has something invested in keeping going.

You're using unfair "staff member" privileges. I've clearly got you rattled .

 

League Table after Week 30:

In a low scoring week it's a massive leap into the top 3 by wfc4ever. Warehouse also makes a big move. UEA takes big steps towards the Premier League with that huge score.

As you were with MaL scoring well again to lead by 16. Goldpapaya had a disappointing week with only 9 scored.
Premier League next season looks difficult to break into now with an 18 point gap between 10 and 11, but Championship places are most definitely up for grabs.

Warehouse killing it but is it too late for a top 3 place? UEA and Heia commended for their over 20 averages as well.

I’m a bit confused how I’m doing so badly. In week 30, I correctly guessed a Liverpool-City draw and Chelsea and Brentford wins, and got 4 points?

I thought you got 5 points for a correct result but wrong goals scored?
