    "Some fans" you mean ?

I believe we can , somehow , get out of this mess. Norwich i think have gone. Evertons run in is horrific.
Maybe this the reversal of the Leicester champ winning season where a team or teams stay up with not many points because of low quality opponents

Can't work out if we actually played alright today or it just appeared that way because expectations are so low at the moment.

We played ok or at least better than previous home matches . Mistakes and poor decision making in front of goal cost us . Which is better than just being shyte , surely ?.

Think you're doing an extreme disservice to WTE and Baah with that list, tbh.

We actually played well. Try and watch the replay. At 1-1, we were still comfortably in the game and I was feeling we might win it if Roy can bring on Etebo for Cleverley and then Cleverley gave them the second goal and it was game over from that moment.

I’m just expressing my view, my friend. How I see things. I know we disagree and every time I post anything vaguely supportive of Xisco, you appear here to tell me I’m wrong. Neither of us are though. We are both merely saying how we see things.

The decision to fire Xisco was right at the time, but can equally now appear to be less right as we have the benefit of hindsight.

You didn’t think they were a bad smell when they played a part in getting us promoted last season did you?? And it doesn’t have to be one thing or the other, just because we might not bounce back doesn’t mean we might be staring down the barrel of another relegation.

I think we just need a right ******* in midfield, someone to crunch opposition players and make them uncomfortable. Right now we lose most midfield battles.

I agree that Xisco had to go at the time however a Hodgson number 2 been round the block typa guy to assist Munez being appointed in the summer may have helped
    an inexperienced but enthusiastic manager

I was pretty miffed at the stench coming off our squad last season. A barely enjoyable promotion from the worst championship on record didn't mask it.

The only "stench" was a non goalscoring front line which was resolved due to injury etc

Our team was **** apart from a 40m winger we had managed to keep. It was basically cheat mode.

This fact will soon become apparent to people next season when Cathcart, Kucka and Cleverly surprisingly don’t dominate the championship. I’m guessing the penny will drop when we are running in about 14th on New Years Day and Leventhal leaks that there will be no incomings due to us being left potless.

Glad you saw I was only being light hearted (although not fully joking).

I enjoy your posts, despite your weird defence of a farce of a managerial appointment in Xisco, who's only been surpassed by Roy, in my view, as a completely negligent piece of decision making.

The penny won’t drop because undoubtedly this summer will bring a whole new raft of excuses as to why it’s not the owners fault.

The penny will never drop for some.

If the penny didn't drop when we went down, in the decline before that, in the season since then and then still hasn't dropped after this season, which has been an unmitigated farce, then I think we are talking about obstinate and willing self delusion more than anything at this point.

At least we had a go. Stats can prove anything but 7 shots on target. Nice to see that Sissoko actually does have some composure.
Like most I didn’t really get why Louza went off - maybe tired as Roy said but we needed to attack then not a like for like - maybe the touches Kalu had in his few minutes cloud my take on it but we needed to be on the front foot.

Also whilst Louzas pass was crap it was the quick throw on and no one ( Pedro or Kamara) tracking the runner from the quick throw (with an assist from Arteta! ) that lead to the third.
Shortly after their 3rd Dennis set up TC but it was straight at Ramsdale. Sure they hit the post but the miss from Dennis was huge at the time.
As someone else posted why are we no longer a threat from any free kick around the box or corners ( not this game as only one but over the season) - these are the things I expected more from CR70 and the current duo.

Thought we played ok today . That was one of our better hodgson performances , certainly for attacking intent . Put done decent balls in and we probably had the better chances apart from the goal .

I was expecting an arsenal win with rearguard action snooze fest, but it was quite entertaining . Thought Pedro was excellent and won a fair few headers . I like the work And availability of Cucho , plus his goal was excellent . It’s all too little too late of course and fair to point out that had we managed to avoid any calamitous error we would have got a point .

Not sure what else to say. it’s all been said a million times . I resigned myself to relegation a while back but would be nice to see a bit of a fight for the rest of the season , like we gave it today .

My weird defence of a head coach who won us promotion, broke a home record with ten successive wins, made every single one of us feel happy during a fairly rough time with covid around, got 40% of our pl wins this season from only 7 matches and even managed to beat a pl club in the cup by playing our reserve eleven :)

He did a decent job but probably wasn’t capable of taking us further. Had we not totally screwed up his next two successors, I doubt any of us would be missing him or looking back so fondly. But sadly we did, so I think it’s natural to reflect with hindsight and wonder what if.

This discussion is just a side issue anyway for the fact that RH is awful.

Yeah. Can agree on that last sentence. Give me Xisco's cheeky face and nonsensical presser statements any time rather than sour old ball bag face having a go at our fans for not being delighted at an 8th successive home loss.

Despite only being here for three matches, Hodgson has already suffered more league defeats at the Vic than Xisco.

I’m not sure why anyone didn’t tell the ball boy to throw it over the wall. Either way they won’t do it again as my boy walked off with one of them!

Admittedly it's not a high bar, but I don't think it's controversial to say Xisco has been our best Manager this season, and realistically it's not that close

Good to see that Pozzo has hired an older version of himself as manager.

Arrogant, consistently makes bad choices, stuck on a model which worked 5+ years ago, despises his own fans & won’t accept any criticism.

Hodgson & Pozzo are currently both ****s.

Unfortunately it appears Xisco went because of his lack of experience, what the owners didn’t appreciate was that our players have their limits and had pretty much reached their maximum over the first few games, so whoever is head coach doesn’t really make any difference! We might have the odd few games where it all comes together but they are very few and the opposition on the day are very odd!

We don’t have enough Premier League quality however assuming we are relegated I think we have enough decent championship players for us to be saying the same thing in two years time!

No longer a threat from free kicks and corners? It must be 5 years since we were a threat from them. When you are a club at our level, you need to have goals from them. Add to that we haven’t scored a free kick in the PL for 7 years and Deulofeu was the last player to score from outside the box in the PL, I assume that’s at least 3 years ago.
