Turkish media so take with a pinch of salt I’d guess…. But we have reportedly bid €9m for Hungarian CB Attila Szalai from Fenerbahce. His international boss said last month that a deal to Chelsea had already been done - which was then denied. Very highly rated so can’t see this to be honest!
Transfermarkt have him rated at £13.5m and he’s been likened to Van-Dijk and have a number of top clubs interested. I’d say this is probably nonsense.
Good window for daft links though. Enjoying it tremendously. Would I rather enjoy reading 10 unlikely links or watching the one crap player we buy? It’s no contest.
Yeah supposedly v heavily linked with Chelsea and others for over £20m. I doubt he would want to come to us. And I doubt he would be available for that price. And Turkish media is not renowned for its reliability. But he is meant to be very good.
Well at least we know we’ve got £7m-£9m to spend on a CB, I wonder who we’ll actually end up with for that?
Apparently this lad is very good. He was being linked quite a lot with Chelsea last month and also been linked with Napoli. Therefore, there is no chance that we are signing him.
If Chelsea withdrew interest, then maybe we can sell the move as a stepping stone to a top EPL club. However he's far too good for us, and I'd be surprised (but delighted) if he signed.
Is it possible the Pozzos have listened to what the fans, pundits and just about everyone can see. You can's stay up with a poor defence
I don't think they listen to pundits nor fans but they may listen to Ranieri. If they didn't try and get defensive reinforcements in after watching the first half of the season then I think that confirms that they are happy with relegation. We have struck lucky with the attackers and possibly think we have the right manager to keep us in the division if they sort the mess out at the back. How much is it worth staying up in the Premier League this season £130 million?
Agreed. I wish people would stop horde-ing them. I might raid Wikipedia for some ideas. Also, his surname sounds like a sneeze.
