No point doing anything better than a chat starter post for this, in the case it could be postponed - but yeah feel free to post your thoughts here on the game. My prediction is a 2-0 defeat, because in all honesty most players are going to be getting over illness, lack of training and Rose will be full of Xmas Turkey. I would of thought a couple of U23's possibly on the bench to make up numbers. Hopefully @Hornpete will be able to do a nice in-depth preview for the next game. Fingers crossed.
I think the prediction should be how many hours before kick off will the match be called off. I’m going for 3.
My prediction def cancellation if it goes ahead the team with the most fit players will win (it won’t be us) , shame missed the football for the last couple of weeks
How are Wolves doing in terms of player availability? They played at the weekend so presumably not as badly as us, but things can change quickly, I wouldn't be surprised if they lick a few lampposts to try to get the game rearranged for when Dennis is at AFCON!
Presumably Sajid having officially changed the isolation rules will have freed quite a few of the players who were affected leading to cancellation at Burnley a week ago - even for the ones who did test positive, as long as they're lat flow'ing negative now, they can train as of yesterday/today/tomorrow which along with the majority who were reported to have been exposed rather than actually testing positive (at the time) means that our squad shouldn't actually have been that depleted this week at London Colney. Even if it was, I imagine they'd rather take the five days they have from now until the game than countenance calling another fixture off and risking an even more catastrophic pile-up towards the end of the season.
Bachmann Kiko Cathcart Sierralta Masina Cleverley Louza Sissoko Cucho King Dennis Elliot, Ngakia, WTE, Rose, Kucka, Tufan, Sema, JP, Fletcher. Wolves 2 - 0 Watford 'Orns!
If the game actually happens then 2-1 loss. If it doesn't they will call it off 5 minutes before kick-off
Wolves are 100% vaccinated with no covid cases or issues but will rotate through the 4 games so they may hold a couple of their better players on the bench (with luck).
Let's just hope Troost gives all his presents out on the 25th and doesn't go to the game with a gift wrapped OG or something along those lines.
Off at our request again. Might be sceptical but feel like Gino & co are being tactical here to get as many games in as possible after the January transfer window has opened / Sarr has returned. Sod's law they'll all be rescheduled whilst Dennis is away as Nigeria go all the way to the AFCON final.
Hopefully we requested the postponement due to numbers still being low rather than a fresh outbreak. Not sure if the PL would grant that though, I'm sure they'd have told us to use U23s to fill the squad.
PL statement says: “Due to players coming out of isolation, it is fully expected Watford will be available for their fixture on Tuesday 28 December, against West Ham United.”
Not too bad that it's off. Means I can enjoy the festive Horse Racing action without much distraction.
https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sp.../wolves-watford-boxing-day-postponed-22555648 It's not all bad news then.
Suggestion on the Wolves site that we have the most unvaccinated players - not sure how they know that ? Anyway as we know being vaccinated doesn’t stop you getting it .
