What other club treats their fans with such contempt that they don't even tell us if we've signed a player permanently or not? This is on top of no contract announcements and Duxbury's bullshyt mouth working overtime.

Yeah there's no way we didn't pay Parma a decent loan fee if they turned down €3m for him earlier this summer.

 

I think he'll do well for us, and on a season loan it's low risk. Not bad.

 

General consensus is that he's definitely still got it and we have nothing to be worried about.

I'm guessing that if Parma get promoted they could have him back and if they don't then we have an option to buy if we want to.

He's out of contract next summer. Can only think it's a loan so Parma still pay a percentage of his wages or we've somehow got out of paying a fee for him. Not sure why Parma would agree to either of those after relegation though.

 

Probably because they are in the crap financially and need to offload players thanks to the ongoing impact of Covid and the fact they got relegated.

They will undoubtedly need to trim their wage bill quite aggressively.

Yes but Romano actually broke the news, it was an exclusive. He also didn’t pull a figure out his backside and then cover himself by saying, in the region of. Was clear when Rs2 posted Parma turned down a €3mil offer that that’s where Leventhal got the figure from. He wrote it to sound like he knew more details, when he didn’t. He’s had his pants pulled down all transfer window.

Not trying to hate on the guy, I’m really not, but I’m just baffled by how many fans still think he’s our best source of info. Not only that he robs people of their hard earned money for articles that are riddled with the same knowledge we all state on here. Everything he writes is spun in his favour whether or not something happens. He never fully commits to anything. I’m not saying Watford don’t throw him a bone now and then, but that’s it at best. Everything else is just guessing.

I said the deal was in the region of £1-1.5mil as a complete guess. Turns out, my guess was closer than his. Still wrong, but closer. That’s embarrassing.

The only thing he gets are interviews, which are interesting. When it comes to transfer news, he knows nothing.

The club themselves haven’t actually confirmed anything, so your guess is no more right or wrong than Leventhals is it? Unless you have some secret inside information that nobody else has, so do you?

Knowing how the club work, the fact that they haven’t even told us if he’s been signed permanently or on loan mean the terms of his deal are highly likely to be quite embarrassing given the circumstances of his age etc, so you constantly bleating on about apparently knowing more than AL is getting very very tedious.

In isolation, a decent looking pragmatic signing.

In the context of our needs at this moment, a woefully inadequate sticking plaster being expected to patch over a breached hull in an Exxon Valdes type disaster.

If we had signed 4 or 5 Prem-ready starters this summer, this might be seen as a Behrami type. Much needed experience and a proven player.

As it is, we've signed all of Europe's problem children, lost arguably 2 of only 4 Prem quality players from last season's team and we needed more than this to compensate.

This has been the worst summer window I can remember.

This seems to be much ado about nothing. Markoa posted the link from the official Parma Calcio 1913 website. The club should know the terms of the agreement for their player and would have no reason to lie. Parma state that "Parma Calcio 1913 can announce the temporary loan of Juraj Kucka to Watford, until 30/06/2022."

The announcements on the official Watford FC site (and on their twitter feed) do not give any details about the terms of the deal. Adam Leventhal and Fabrizio Romano appear to be incorrect when they claim that it is a permanent deal.
