That line on twitter was a classic. Pape Gueye signs and plays for someone else. Ignacio Pussetto.... Zuniga.... Raffaele Riva... That other African lad who took us to CAS recently and won... Gino's dodgy Belgian mate... The odd treatment of Adrian Mariappa... These just off the top of my head. Sure there's countless more. Yeah, they sure 'do their business properly'. Classic FTRE munching off the club with their fingers in their ears.
Hope we can get him and Okay. Would ease the pain of losing Hughes, and if there was any spare cash, we could go with cheap CB. If they get this done, Gino and Scott will have done their business properly.
I’m with the Beat and Andy Williams on this one, ‘cause I can’t get used to losing Hughes, no matter what I try to do.
After a long and stressful race that was possibly run almost completely in the minds of Italian sports journalists, we've binned off (not) trying to sign Thorsby https://football-italia.net/watford-retire-from-race-to-sign-thorsby/
'Sampdoria are believed to want at least €8m for Thorsby.....Watford have 'retired' from the race after declining to raise their €4m bid.' Good ol' Gino.
Dunno if he's good enough, but Atalanta rarely miss with their transfer business and Napoli are a big European club, so...
I thank them for doing so. This week has been very boring in the transfer section and if someone wants to invent some enlivening, but ultimately fruitless rumour I thank them for it.
While that could of course be true, looking at the article it could also be propaganda by us because we found out he'd rather join Atalanta or Napoli.
Morten wasn’t loved up on the relegation clause in the contract, so we stole a march by stating that we had binned him off. Proactive that.
And that we binned him off because we supposedly only can stretch to €4mil, thus trying to keep the price down for when we probably go back in for Ferguson.
To be fair I'm quite glad we didn't go as high as €8m. The guy looks decent but slow as ****. I want to see a dynamic attacking midfielder who gets in the box. Someone like Zinckernagel but one that doesn't get eaten alive in a Premier League midfield.
Can’t wait till we play Napoli in the CL next season and we can give this greedy scumbag the booing he deserves .
Obviously that was a joke based on an unrealistic expectation . There’s no way Napoli will finish top 4 this season .
https://m.calcionapoli24.it/notizie...rd-n489520-amp.html?__twitter_impression=true So if this is correct then Thorsby could still happen and he would like the move. Yokuslu would also like to move here apparently from what has come out over the last couple of days. Both players available for very modest fees, just got to do a deal with their clubs. So it's safe to say neither of these guys will be playing for us next season.
Sell Hughes and get Thorsby in. Will do exactly the same role in front of the defence and is more aerially dominant. And use the additional money to get in Doig or Ferguson. I thought we had made a good choice in selecting some promising youngsters who can turn into top class performers and then be sent on their way for a profit. We could very well regret missing out on what at the moment are relatively cheap players.
I haven't seen any reliable links but apparently Villa are in for Thorsby. Hopefully Palace sign Yokuslu as well leaving us with a clear run at James McGrath.
Unfortunately I’m hearing Rochdale could well move for McGrath. Who’s the next one down the list after McGrath?
