Hopefully just a loan. I would have thought a Championship club might have taken him, providing he’s mostly over the injury and ready to take part in full training soon.
Yeah, doesn't really make sense to me unless he isn't viewed as having a future here (like the other two). A Championship club would definitely make more sense on paper.
Please don't ditch him. Chelsea let KDB go and look how that worked out for them. Let's not make the same mistake with TDB.
I've seen nothing from him that convinces me that he can do a job for us. Champo level at best. Was a freebie so any fee will be more excellent business.
They might have picked a more attractive location from a player point of view rather than ruddy Bulgaria.
Disagree, he looked to have that something special about him and was visibly improving game by game before his injury. I'll be very disappointed if we let him go.
I agree he looked promising but I don't understand the game by game comment. I thought he only took part in 2 games for a total of <70 minutes? Success looked brilliant in his first appearance at West Ham.....
It was about 3 games (what, 2 games worth of football?) so we can't really say much from it! He was good in the early stages of the season, but he could be anything, he could be a good Prem player, or he could be a complete bust. That he hasn't been able to break through isn't really our fault as such (an injury like that is just **** luck although I don't think we did him any favours sending him back out when his knee had already gone), but it'd be madness ******* him off to Bulgaria for what is sure to be peanuts
With Welbeck and now TDB, we now seem to be the club who nurses crocks back to fitness before they actually show what they're capable of at other clubs
I think he needs a season of football before we really can judge his future, a loan in the champ would be my choice
I think it is football related, but specifically to do with the Germany-Hungary game. I think this tweet pretty much lines up with Hungary’s second goal. May be wrong on that though.
Is he known enough or did he have enough impact for Championship clubs to be interested? I’m not sure. League One might be a better bet and then if he does well, recall in January where he will be on the radar of clubs higher up.
Lesser known players have got Championship loans, he has played a first-team game for City after all, Chalobah was nowhere near that for Chelsea when we took him, and he ended up being hugely influential. I think with most clubs still pretty skint, someone in the Championship would take a punt on TDB on loan
We're not necessarily talking a promotion contender like we were in 12/13, it could be a Coventry or Huddersfield type (no idea if they are feasible options, but they're two teams towards the bottom end of the table)
There's no real evidence to really suggest what level he's going to be capable of playing at, but such a serious injury this early in his career isn't great. Could be brilliant, could be Al Bangura.
Doucoure did his cruciate ligament at a similar age and certainly kept his athleticism, every player is different but I expect a young guy like Dele-Bashiru to make a full recovery. He certainly looked promising in his cameos, it's such a shame he got injured because a season in the Championship is just what he needs and could have set him up for this season if he impressed Xisco.
A fair bit will depend on his recovery, but from his very brief cameos he looked too good for League One. I thought he seemed about as good as Garner when they were on the pitch together at any rate. If/when he's back to fitness he should get a loan to someone like Forest, Bristol City or Birmingham.
Yeah, sounds about right. I say loan him until January to one of those types of clubs, then go from there; if he absolutely storms the Championship, take him back, if he's plainly not fully over his injury, maybe loan him to League 1, if he does OK, extend the Championship loan
They have to take a look at him preseason first then decide. We could be short of two midfielder players quick smart if they don't agree terms.
Sky Sports News reporting he’s having a medical ahead of a season-long loan to Reading https://www.skysports.com/transfer-centre
Perfect club for him to be loaned to. Hopefully that means we have another midfielder lined-up as that only leaves us with Kucka, Louza, Etebo, Gosling and Cleverley as our central midfielders, if we are also excluding Hughes and Chalobah of course.
Very good loan move for him. Hopefully Hungbo can find a good club/level as well. Think he's been linked with Reading.
Good move for him and us. Shifting out the promising youngsters on loan was never going to be the issue though. It's the well paid wasters that'll still be here after the window "slams shut".
