Buzzes a warning, then if you don't move, tasers you.

I personally not bothered by naming rights if it helps towards securing the stability of the club. It will still be Vicarage Road to the fans. If it became the T Max stadium, in reality it won’t get referred to as the T Max other than in official references.

A brand new stadium would of course be different. When something has always been the King Power or Amex a renaming probably is less controversial.

I hope if this happens we are able to reach the heights achieved by Witton Albion.

My problem with naming new stadiums after a sponsor is when it’s changed after a deal runs out. Leicester, for example, didn’t have to call theirs the Walkers Stadium and now it’s King Power - all a bit meaningless in terms of location. While it was being built, Arsenal’s was known as Ashburton Grove, which would be fine, and of course Man City’s was Eastlands.

Should just have McDonald’s sponsor it. Least the colours will match.

Yeah, sponsoring the Vic is the way to go and secures the club's future! Just ask Bolton fans about the continued success of the Reebok Arena. Oh, wait....

A quote from Pozzo the Younger's article: “Among other things, with Watford, I am promoting synergies so as to contaminate the interests of the sponsors of the two clubs, which have different target markets." What a complete load of corporate b0ll0ck-speak. The more I see this sort of nonsense, the more I want to dismantle global capitalism. Why not just say "I want to make lots of money for the family off the back of selling the soul of the club"?

Well if (when) it becomes 'The Burger King Bowl' or whatever, I'll just tippex over the ground's name on the ticket and scrawl 'Vicarage Road' there instead. Oh, wait........

This naming issue is certainly a conundrum, I'm not sure we'll ever solvite.

Given the location, it is only luck that we don't currently play at The Orphanage.

I was going to make the moogish statement of suggesting the 'LDV Stadium'. Imagine my disappointment to discover that the L and D stand for 'Leyland' and 'DAF' not locations in Bedford*****.

If Maninblack is against a Pozzo direction, you know it's not going to go down well.

If it brings in funds then I really don't mind. It will always be Vicarage Road to me but if somebody wants to give us a few quid to call it something else then fine

There's a few big companies with head offices in the Watford area. Weatherspoon's, Costco, Camelot, Hilton Hotels, Warner Bros, Ralph Lauren etc

I think Weatherspoon's. At least we'd get cheap beer at HT...........

You just made me remember that when I lived in Great Yarmouth in the early 90's there was a bar called Muff Divers.

The Warner Media Stadium of Dreams?
We could put some quidditch goal posts up.*

*disclaimer. HM has never read the books or seen the films, has no idea whether quidditch requires goalposts or any other equipment. The post was made in jest and HM accepts no responsibility for any inaccuracies therein as he is in adult and couldn't give a crap about Harry ******* potter.

Imagine how annoyingly bourgie we will appear when fans from those forgettable northern towns come down to the "Ralph Lauren" stadium.

If it means we're the antithesis of Sunderland and that Mackem at the start of that tv program that calls us out. I'm in.

It's quite common in the lower leagues isn't it? I was mildly amused when the PA welcomed us to the Sportsdirect.com Park when I went with my mate to Oldham a few years ago. I would imagine the Oldham fans were probably a bit sad that the name of their stadium changed, but didn't really pay it much notice

But it will be called the Troy Deeney Stadium.

Or the Andre Gray Stadium. Or the Trondre Greeney Stadium.

My ITK contacts tell me Bournemouth have negotiated a deal worth in excess of £39.99 per season with Subbuteo to rename their stadium 'The Subbuteo Stadium'

Should have been called it the "Fallen and I Can't Get Up" stadium and sponsored by one of those ambulance chasing injured at work lawyer companies.

Although not uniquely confusing... Huddersfield used to play at Leeds Road, Fleetwood play at Highbury, and Stirling Albion used to play at Annfield!
