Outline details of the upcoming sales arrangements but no prices yet:

    https://www.watfordfc.com/news/season-tickets-202122-renewals-update

Good to see they’re offering a 12 month direct debit option to all 12,000 ‘secure your seat’ people.

Sounds like if you didn’t pay your £20 to secure your seat you could well have lost it, as you won’t be able to renew until after the seat movement window.

Looks like the pre Premier League season ticket holder discount has been abolished.

“In summary, the same single price will be offered to ALL 'Secure Your Seat' buyers, regardless of whether Season Ticket holders from 2019/20 were Phase 1 or Phase 2 buyers.”

The 75 mile deals were excellent but unfortunately I think they will do away with them,
It’ll be interesting to see if football has lost fans that used to go and have found better things to do on Saturdays or have got used to sitting a home watching.

I forgot we’re in the Premier League. That means being stopped in town by a Liverpool fan with a London init accent, a new red scarf asking if you know where the football stadium is.

Season tickets remaining at the same price as 19/20.

Just got an email saying so.

Credit to the club for that.

Why have we only got a week to renew? Seems a bit strange. Are they desperate for cash flow or something?

Why would you need any longer? Seems like a fairly sensible window to give, especially as there will be a few extra logistical elements this year with people choosing to take some more time before coming back.

Some people don't even check their emails weekly - that email went into my junk so could have easily missed it!

Personally would prefer it was longer to let me have more decision making time and to get the money sorted.

Biggest concern for our group is the new NFC way of ticketing. Makes using friends season tickets when they go on holiday very tricky unless there is a way round this. There are many groups that share tickets this way on occasion

As it’s against the t&c’s maybe the club will view that as a positive.

maybe so but its how my son who is 11 has got to the odd game. I would rather have my father or son next to me using a friends season ticket who wants them to use it than be forced to resell it through the official channel. If so there will just be empty seats potentially as would rather it was empty.

Surely you could have the same ticket on multiple phones to get round this? Can you not just send the ticket digitally to the person you're giving it to instead? I'm curious too as the person I go with has just had a baby and probably wouldn't agree to it unless he can give it away to others when he can't go.

The tickets will be using an app with NFC and ST cards now invalid - couldn't see anything for old supporters who may not have smartphones?

For anyone who’s had one before, how do the 75 mile season tickets work? I qualify for one (if they’re available for new applicants) - am I right to assume it’ll be a percentage of games?

I guess you just log out of the app on your phone and log into it on your mate's phone.

Far too many non Watford fans get the tickets when the big boys turn up. I remember during our first season in the PL v Man Utd, it was pretty easy to spot the Utd fan who had never been to a game before.

Not difficult to get around as you can just give your login details to someone else.

How is it gonna work for kids's tickets? The club were happy with me paying to upgrade them for evening games to bring a mate if it was too late for the kiddies.

Don’t think they’re available to new applicants. Very good though as you get 13 games in Premier League and can buy extra ones in your seat at pro rata price.

You should be able to screenshot your barcode and send it to someone else- they should even be able to print it out.

When they said they said they were doing away with the loyalty prices for ST Holders before 14/15, I assumed they would be 'levelling up'. In fact they've levelled down so everybody gets the loyalty rates. Just checked my bank account from April 19 - the renewal price for 21/22 is the same.

    Brilliant club.

Yeah, just spotted it. Presumably though someone you trust could put the app on their phone and receive your ticket if you are on holiday? Or keep an old mobile yourself to give to someone using your ticket?

It'll be like any app, where it's about logging into it, not the device. The club wouldn't be involved if you changed your phone, so it'll be the same principle.

I knew work would come in handy one day.

If we all got together and voluntarily paid an extra £100 on our season ticket, we could Gray off our books 6 months earlier.

    Who's in ?

Its pretty depressing to contemplate that a a seasons worth of ticket sales roughly equates to Deeney and Grays wages for a year. At least we dont have to fork out much for goal scoring bonus.
