I think his problem is we have little creativity on the bench. I’m not sure why Hungbo isn't getting more of a look in however, as he has looked bright in his short cameos.

I think the tactical inflexibility is the trade off with a manager like Munoz. He’s going to set us up to play a certain way and hope that is enough to over power the opposition, which thankfully it often is. He’s not really capable of adjusting or adapting to how the opposition play if it’s causing a problem or we’re losing. The like for like subs against Bournemouth showed that, let’s just kind of carry on doing what we’re doing and hope it works even though we’re a goal down.

    On Friday we welcome Reading
But the Premier League we're heading
Beat the Royals will help in our quest
To take automatic promotion, no jest

    Miss out on play-off heartbreak
    My nerves I couldn't take
Prefer to watch the chaos from afar
As Muff cheat another pen, no ta.

At the Vic, Joao is bound to score
But will it be one, two, three or four?
Of course I talk of Joao Pedro
The wonder kid from Ribeirao Preto

Oh Deeney I'd write stuff about you
Extolling you as the best of men
But then I went and remembered
Your goals always come from a pen

Now we need to beat Reading without you
A hole so big we can't plug
If you come back from injury early
I'll be tempted by some kind of drug

So please stay in the stands
    And sit on your hands
    And we'll love you forever
    The end.

Reading will inevitably “get a result”. They will win, lose or draw.

There once was a footballer named Gray
Who twice flouted covid rules of the day
When it came to the match with Reading
He was busy planning a wedding
And thankfully was unable to play.

Do Reading still have a player named Hector?

If we lose to Reading, if you also throw Bournemouth in too dependant in their result, you’ve then effectively got five teams within a few points of each other.

I’m not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing, because ultimately their motivation to try and win games is there just in order to stay ahead of each other, let alone catch us.

No, plays for Fulham now. From his house, Zaza now plays for CP and Kiki plays for us.

Agree. Hence why it is (especially after last night) ours to bugger up. I am hopeful Xisco is using the time he has between now and Friday to get us some of our pre international zip back. We didn't play awful against Sheff Wed or Boro', just very lethargic and off the pace. Hopefully Sema will remember that giving away silly FK in a dangerous position needs to be cut out of his game.

There was a young man from The Vic
Who when on form made his team click
    He once played for Rennes
then signed for £3m times 10
And he makes Troy Deeney look thick

Meaning we send Reading into the west away,I don't think Housman would have wanted one of his greatest poems to be butchered in this way!

    Apologies to W.H.Henley.

On Friday night a goal will come.
    From Pedro, Sarr or Troost-Ekong,
Who has not winced but stood up tall,
And put his foot clean to the ball.
And Reading will only stand, afraid,
Their own dreams fading in the shade.
As yellows pass along the ground.
Again the ball is goalward bound.
We'll thank whatever gods may be,
As again we see the Premier League.

On Friday night at Vicarage Road
It's hoped the Hornets dare not implode
In their bid to return to the Premier League
With Swans and Bees watching on with intrigue

Canaries at the top may be out of reach
but a few more wins we'll be on the beach
Securing another season in England's top flight
starting with a win on Friday night

A battle of the Joaos awaits us at the Vic
with Brazilian Pedro and his trick after trick
And Royal's Lucas Joao on nineteen this campaign
will be hoping for another on the luscious terrain

Reading are no pushovers, they'll be hard to beat
so neutral fans may be in for a treat
Providing that the guests come here to attack
and don't play 90 minutes just to sit back

With Sarr and Sema on the wings
and Hughes and Nate pulling the strings
in front of a defence that's best in the division
It's prime time viewing on Sky television.

Here's hoping the season does not take its toll
And we have no repeat of that ill-fated ghost goal

Is it too early to be nervous about this. We're so close now but every time I think about it I feel sick. Bizarre really as spent most of the season being very meh about the whole thing

I believe a win against Reading would then see us 16 points ahead of them with 5 games left for us both to play, so a guaranteed play off place.
Believe this was the first of Xisco remaining goals, so a lot of incentive.

How much of a 'must win' is this? I mean, it's certainly a must-win if we have any hope of catching Norwich, but would a point in one of the more difficult games we have to play in the run-in be OK as long as we do the business in the easier games? Was way more nervous for the Boro game in fairness, yes this is a tricky one, but we're another game down with the lead still the same as it was before that game

It's must win to stop me being on edge for another week.

Thankfully our home form must make us favourites.

That's not helping my mental state so far.

Fundamental changes are required to stop the rot so don’t think this is too far from the XI. Maybe TD09 in for Pedro too. If he managed to play most of last season unfit, he should be fine to slot in right now.

It’s a must not lose more than it’s a must win if you ask me. Of course a win would be great, but we don’t need to win, if we don’t we’ll still be in the driving seat and objectively it would be a good point in isolation considering the circumstances. Losing would be awful, a big psychological blow to us, a huge psychological boost to our rivals, and the 3 points would bring Reading right into the mix. This would simultaneously mean more teams in the hunt to catch us as well as giving all the teams behind us a greater incentive to need to pick up points to both catch us and stay in the playoffs.
