Gray to score with a lovely crisp first time shot from outside the box or from a scruffy close-range mis-hit or a rebound off his other ar$e cheek (the one that hasn't yet scored) from a hacked clearance. You decide.
Check out the official account (if you can!) for two minutes of incredible handsomeness in anticipation of this momentous evening. https://twitter.com/WatfordFC/status/1367178207410024449?s=20
I would've liked to have seen Perica get an hour, see what he can do against one of the bottom 3. He's not played very much.
WTF!!! I see our wonderful recruitment team is running true to form, not that would have wanted him to play anyway but our latest recruit Lazzar is injured already and so is our steal from Muff as well
Oof. That lineup and squad are pretty weak. Just three changes made and it looks poor. Don't feel hugely confident, but we should have enough. Boring 1-0 win seems about right.
Andre Gray. Got stuck in with the ‘fight’ at Bournemouth and now he’s kicked the ball in the goal. Cult hero?
Deserved lead at the break, tidy finish from the forum scapegoat tbf. Need to push for a second to kill the game now.
Gosling and Lazaar injured? wtf!! What a few days for Andre Gray. He joined in the fracas at Bournemouth on the pitch, allegedly threw some punches at Rico in the tunnel and scores tonight.
We should be 3 or 4 up really given the positions we’ve been in and the space they’ve allowed us. Have liked the look of Zinc - could be a very good player. Andre has had his standard 3 or 4 classic comedy gold moments where you are wondering how he’s a professional footballer- but fair play to him for the goal and bar a late intervention by the GK he’d have had a 2nd in identical fashion.
Jonno and Dele-Bashiru in the house: David Holdsworth brings out a wreath prior to the minutes applause for Glenn Roeder: Gray connects with Kiko's cross:
Yes. Watford's failure to bury this game could come back to bite. No matter how much better you look, 1 - 0 is never enough.
This referee is bizarre, doesn’t give the most obvious fouls, but then gives the really questionable ones.
Anyone find some of Tommy Mooney’s commentary and opinions totally baffling? He just said that Zinckernagel “will be a little bit disappointed by his distribution tonight.” Zinckernagel has a pass accuracy of 93% tonight (per whoscored as of 93 mins) completing 28 of his 30 passes including 2 key passes and a really neat assist. I’ve also noticed that he has a bit of an agenda around our strikers. Deeney and Gray are wonderful and JP is an inexperienced young guy with a lot to learn.
Can't believe we had to watch Zinckernagel totally fail to influence the game as he was gently eased off the ball by the big Wycombe brutes every single time tonight; livid. And, fair's fair - credit to Gray for resembling a professional footballer this evening. This was his Waterloo.
I was on the shoutbox. Mooney is effing Stephen Hawking compared to our insightful commentary there (yes, I include myself)
I’ve just had the most bizarre dream. Must stop eating cheese for lunch. Anyway how is everybody here? Looking forward to the match tonight?
Love the look of our new striker! Job done. Now need to get back onto another winning streak and put last Saturday truly behind us.
Great to see Andre back on top form and banging in the goals again. All forwards go through a lean spell but he's a quality player and a great guy - we never doubted you, mate.
