I think it’s early season which has hopefully lead to most of our players being in decent shape and certainly we do not have that luxury quite as much now. Pre transfer window we had Capoue and Garner (despite what we got from him he still allowed others a rest). Also, despite how we were playing, Deeney’s presence along with Gray means Pedro is pretty fresh and Perica is also now back.

I do think, unfortunately, our key time will be that tough run in but up to this point we have been able to rotate and it may be the thing Ivic did that may help us over the line.

It is key though, that with Dele-Bashiru out for the season that we get Zinc, Success and even Wilmot up to match sharpness as we will likely need at least one to play a significant role in the run in.

Can’t believe any of the other teams up there with the possible exception of Norwich have been able to rotate up to now quite so readily but admit this is more a gut feeling than doing a bucket load of homework.

You'd hope the likes of Hughes and Masina would be fresh as they didn't play much football in the first half of the season, hopefully that works in our favour. It's a shame that we didn't stumble across this system until after Coventry, Garner wasn't getting much of a look-in under Xisco in a 4-4-2, but he might have stayed and proved a useful squad option in a midfield 3.

Unfortunately for Wilmot we do have plenty of good defenders but few senior midfielders, so I can see him spend the vast majority of the season on the bench, Success must be close to a return to the squad as he's starting to rack up the minutes for the U23s, Zinckernagel might get a look-in soon as Sema looks exhausted. Is TDB definitely out for the season? Not that I'm suggesting rushing him back, but didn't they say he'd be out for 6 months back at the start of October? Maybe he'll be ready for a few games off the bench in the run-in (though with our fixtures it's probably not the best time to make any risks lol), and then maybe the play-offs?

Just had a quick look at the Swansea boards and it looks like they haven't rotated much and are looking leggy now, and with an extra two games to fit in, here's hoping it will all catch up with them late on. Brentford have lost Toney, dunno how serious that is, but Henry will be out for a fair while which could be huge, we really need to stick our foot down and take advantage while we have something resembling a first choice XI to pick from, because these things can change quickly, a few games time it might be us with a few key players out again

Also, a big lol to any opposition fans who think Deeney being injured is a hammer blow to us, have they not realised he can't move and has got one goal from open play all season?!

I think that is more the media than fans.

Read a few comments on the Brentford forum saying as we do that Deeney (and Gray was holding us back)

I think Toney will be out for just a few weeks. Hopefully by then Brentford would have lost more ground.

I'm not sure about that... Would make it interesting.

Norwich are well ahead of us at the minute. And after Swans' games in hand things will be clearer.

Unfortunately, Success is a KNOWN quantity.

I personally still have some hope for Success. I still look back at the Spurs cup match where he was excellent in the centre. But JP does need monitoring as it's a big ask to expect performance after performance from him.

Now the Papa John's Trophy I believe.

Perhaps Pozzo wants a slice of that action.
