Never say never of course...but I'd be surprised if Sarr gets transferred to them, he's already had a degree of success in the Premier League and has attracted the interest of far bigger clubs than Udinese, not even to mention the fact that he seems a quite shy lad who might not want to up sticks to another new country

Just read this in full. “We encouraged Watford’s players to take responsibility to improve their performance on the pitch”. Haha. Andre - take some responsibility and stop being dreadful!

    I have faith in Gino.

Or I will, if he decides to stop running the club like a game of the Sims where the cheats are activated, swimming pool stairs, fire alarms and doors are removed, and members just have to keep lighting stoves or swimming until they succumb to futile and needless deaths.

Time to pass the baton to new owners if they can be found. I feel the Pozzos have taken the club as far as they can and it now needs a new direction to restore our reputation. I am eternally grateful for what they have done especially developing the ground and if it was not for them
I fear we would be in dire straits today but they seem to have run out of ideas.

The names I was told were in discussions to buy the club pre-Covid last year were Tom Hicks and George Gillett, of Liverpool infamy. Not going to happen now post-relegation, of course. My source was someone senior working on the deal. I don't know how progressed the talks got - and from the sound of things, Gino was fielding offers for the club on a regular basis when we were in the PL - but they were far enough advanced for some form of preliminary due diligence to have taken place.

Well Liverpool nearly went bust under them they certainly would have not been the answer!

  12. Its now as simple as Gino must sort the Deeney and Gray problem in the summer, get the best money he can for players who will want out, and then use the cash to kick start a rebuild. If he doesn't have the balls to make those decisions he should **** off now.

Not saying you’ve not taken the info you were given in good faith - but Hicks and Gillette massively fell out and have spent years briefing against each other. The interview above was written in Dec 2019, just a few months before Covid took so surely that’s around the period in question? Would be odd to be in talks to buy a club together whilst giving an interview saying the mistake they made before was buying a club together?

Again, not saying you weren’t told this in good faith, always appreciate info! But I have a hard time believing this is remotely true.

I personally think they should sort it now - give them both the Glenn Murray treatment and make them train away from the group.

Some very interesting comments in there from Giraldi.

Cements what us bed wetters have been saying for a very long time!

    Everything is on Gino! Everything!

    Other points I took;

Will Hughes one of the FEW that cared. I want to know who else cared? My guess Cleverley, Kiko and Sarr.

Didn’t want to sell Suarez or Estupinan but the offers we received for our senior players were deemed not good enough so we had no choice. (Reading between the lines on that one).

Definitely a dig a Xisco about training one way then playing another.

Admitting that communication has been bad

All collapsed after the cup final. We saw this with our own eyes. Yet nothing was done in the summer.

Admitting that they watch every training session.

    Didn’t agree with rehiring QSF

    Every decision IS GINO’s!!!!!

Gray has no hunger and is mentally shot!

I didn't know this, and thanks for posting it. You're right, in light of those comments it would seem not to stack up the way it was told to me. All I can say is that the person who told me this would have no reason to feed me misinformation.

The wider point though is that I think Gino was well prepared to sell up in the Premier League, for the right price of course, and that then we would've been in the lap of the gods whether the owners would've been the type to invest and take the club forward as we would want, or load the club up with even more debt in a leveraged buy-out like we've seen with Burnley, or whatever.

As for how I rate Gino, I think he's has done a tremenedous amount of good for the club over the years, but for whatever reason, the decision-making process has fallen to pieces since the Cup final, and the utterly baffling Munoz appointment was for me a real turning point in how I view him. Given how much the club has fallen in value since relegation, I don't see him selling up now while we still have a shot at getting back up. And like others on here, I'm pretty terrified about what the next set of accounts will reveal.

Yep, largely agreed - especially the final paragraph.

Although I’ve never been convinced at all that Gino has been looking to sell the club. I mean, all clubs are likely available for a price but I don’t believe active steps were taken to sell up or similar. I think they probably sought investment elsewhere but obviously found no-one willing to part with a substantial amount cash without having a say how the club is ultimately run.

Could be a dig at Xisco, but he's not at Watford anymore, so wouldn't be aware of the training events leading up to the Coventry match. I suspect AL has steered that remark with some prepping beforehand by maybe throwing a scenario like the one which led up to the Coventry game and Giraldi had that in his mind when he made the comment, or it could be a coincidence of course.

Or one of his former colleagues has told him about some of the issues with Xisco. If some forum members have been told some of these sorts of details, it isn’t hard to imagine Giraldi has too.

Interesting to see the From the Rookery End chaps have also had enough. They tried to be as positive as possible in the latest episode but they were really scraping the barrel. They also spoke in detail about the growing unrest among the fans.

First time I've ever said 'No'. The reassesment follows the Giraldi interview. I just want a tactically aware coach and director of football who understand the demands of English football. It's clear Seria A is different to everyone but Gino.

This ******** about its deeney this and gray that. Farkin rubbish. The Pozzos are running this club like a farkin **** show. Diabolical recruitment, revolving door with managers and replacing each one with somebody with even less capable than the last, hearing about unpaid bonuses, total disregard for fans...yeah they built a Lego stand, yeah they got us to the Prem...well that was then and now they run this club like it’s a bleeding Nintendo game. Sell up you ****z or run it bloody properly

n.b said after a curry, a shocking day and quite a few bottles of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale so may feel totally different in the morning

Not true. Giampaolo Pozzo has no involvement at Watford. The show has always been run by Gino.

Jeff Bezos isn't doing much these days now he's given up being CEO of Amazon. He's got a few quid and is a massive Watford fan. I saw him coming out of The Grove during the Bilderberg event in 2013 and he just shouted "come on you 'orns". That's good enough for me.

Think I'd rather have Dennis in charge. We're morally bankrupt as a club anyway, so it would be good to have an intelligent psychopath running things rather than Gino.

Frank would run us into bankruptcy to sell the ground for real estate.
