They all spout nonsense at times as pundits at some points. But what I’ve watched of Tim when they analyze games is pretty impressive he would of been a better option than the last 2 guys. All these inexperienced foreign bums are not what’s needed especially in this league. When NP got the job I wasn’t that impressed but as time went on at least he would of been someone with the ability to challenge more in the championship. Maybe the championship would be a good level for Tim Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ivic is a far better manager than Sherwood, foreign or not. There’s a reason Sherwood is out to pasture on Sky on Saturdays at 3pm. The game has moved on from a man who dines out on giving Kane his first run of games. He’s been a failure as a manager. We need to move on. It’s like people (not saying yourself) who suggest Kenny Jackett with Nigel Gibbs as assistant. Just no.
It's time for the man who thinks he's in charge to step up and actually take charge!!! Make Deeney Player Manager to the end of the season
Insecure control freaks hate to delegate. They are so bonded to their model being the right one they are completely blind to it's failings and any pertinent criticism of it because only they know what is right. Meathead continually displays this condescending attitude the thick twazzock.
To my shame, I had hope when we appointed Pearson. He had the wherewithal to sell, buy and rebuild. Given time and a remit, I believe he could have given a far better outlook for us. Even with relegation, financial issues, olayer sales, i am sure he would have given us something more than these neutered lettuces we appoint.
Not just him but Shakespeare. It is quite clear Craig is having the same impact he had at Leicester with the Villa. But then those clubs are well run and indeed well funded. Villa removed their chief buyer looked at what went wrong and made a GENUINE attempt to correct these mistakes. Ginocchio and Meathead always pretend they listen to advice but never take any of it onboard. Anyone who speaks out is persona non grata immediately. Good leaders in any field be it business or research of any organization have open ears to listen to those better qualified or actually facing the problem directly and are willing to take on board criticism in a constructive way to improve their performance in tackling problems with a better endpoint for everyone. Not these two. Meathead is an anachronistic dinosaur you would find in eighties boardrooms dreaming of Wall Street at night. Modern organizations don't run in autocratic fashion anymore.
It's just drivel from this bloke. Has he ever said anything that sounds like he's got a clue about tactics? There's never any 'this was causing us a problem so we tweaked this...' or 'we were expecting this from the other team so we did this...'. Anyone could've told him that Coventry play out from the back despite not being great at it because that's exactly what they did at our place. Did we put them under any pressure? No, course not. Ivic used to comment on the style of opponents but Xisco seems completely oblivious to who we're playing. And let's not forget that he said he was told to play 4-4-2 in the first game against Norwich and he hasn't deviated since (apart from the last five minutes today). How could anyone look at the pattern of play today and think that a couple of like for like changes were going to make any difference?! If we want to try to fluke our way up this season, we've got to get rid. Let's not burn through any more games with this unqualified bloke and his assistant with the iPad who was literally working outside professional football until he got the call.
Jesus, we're really not gonna see the corner flag, are we? I'm genuinely quite despondent that we can have been forced to witness that debacle, after the debacle on Monday and what was claimed/promised after it, and not only be forced to hear a carbon copy of the same meaningless old 5hite once again, but have Xisco remain in place ready to ***** it all up once again in a week's time. We don't have an automatic bye into the playoffs, and if we get into them we will get f ucking destroyed, as it stands. Our only hope is to bring in an actual manager/Head Coach, who can be as ruthless as is possible in a situation in which he can bring no one in and his two star strikers are shambling zombies, and get us playing in a style that will give us any kind of chance with some momentum behind us going into those playoffs (and more to the point, any style at all). What does it say about the club and its hierarchy that they can watch that, after watching that a few days ago, and a few days before that, etc etc and on we go ad infinitum, and not understand that they need to act? The mistake was to bring in this comedy character of an appointment in the first place, but the second mistake was to keep throwing good money (and games) after bad, persist with being unduly influenced by a sunk-cost fallacy, and refuse to admit their mistake at the appropriate time by keeping him on, giving him even more time to ***** about and lower the level of the team. I said before the game that this was going to be another Quique at Norwich, or Ivic at Rotherham - a weak puff result that's allowed to paper over the cracks and allow a stay of the inevitable execution for a couple more games/weeks, allowing the madness to continue and more ground to be lost for nothing. But it wasn't even that! We didn't get our puff result; they were better than us across the park - we were disgusting; disgracefully, unprofessionally bad, and lucky not to lose, and yet still that stay has been granted! For once, own up to your mistakes and act at the right time, for god's sake, Pozzo and assorted leeches. Make the only logical and intelligent, evidence-based decision, that every single fan can see is required. Except for Miles 'we didn't even have a club to watch shame themselves in 1592' Jacobson.
Clueless and also rubs everyone and I mean everyone in the wrong way. Add to the fact he’s not achieved results either shows why he’s been out of work for ages. I’d prefer Munoz and that’s saying something.
Yep. I very much meant the two as a package. You're absolutely right though, not yes men, so booted out in a farcical panic before the end of the season.
Sorry, mate, but is it possible to use HAVE and not OF when it is correct to do so? Things are so bad at the moment, I can’t handle the excess stress.
Come on, I never went to school. I’m typing on my phone with fat fingers. I’ve been up since 5 am to tune in to that *****, and it’s also nearly -30 outside. Do we really need gramma police on a forum chat. Could you be so kind to over look my mistakes and I promise to try harder. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I think we all hoped that - but while we were in the PL and transfers fly around for the amounts they do, the owner was never gonna hand that power over. No real excuse for not adopting that approach now though as far as I’m concerned. We are doing minimal business for money, so stands to reason to let a manager have more of a say. It’s one thing handing a ‘head coach’ players who cost £20m-£30m purchased as investments regardless of style/tactics etc. It’s another thing entirely to try and take the same approach with free transfers and loans in a lower division. When we are shopping in this market, it makes huge sense to let the man who is playing these players have a say over who he does and doesn’t want. They are still trying to curate a squad and find value in players who have been written off by a number of clubs like Achraf Lazaar and Stipe Perica - at what point do you accept those previous clubs were right? Just hire a Paul Cook and let him do his thing. It baffles me how the club haven’t seen this though.
Fair enough, but the difference between the 2 words is not to do with ffs. However, I think a free pass for getting up at 5am to watch us is perfectly in order. And at least the -30 gives you a chance to numb the pain.
Maybe looking at Tim with blinkers on and yes he does dine out on Kane also drools over spuds and The vile cos he has them on his cv, you’d think they were the 2 biggest clubs in the world the way he goes on. To say Ivic is better is pushing it IMO but would you be upset if Sir Elton took over and put Tim as football director Kenny as head coach Gibbs his assistant with Luther on the coaching staff tony coton goalkeeper coach? Maybe he didn't have his education paid for ? Do you not understand his point tho ? Let's not get bogged down with who has the best way with words . Cos it's a load of ********.
In all honesty, yes. But I’ve never had a problem separating the past from the current, that’s all. I’ve always thought too many fans (again, not saying yourself) get caught up in the romanticism and just think about the feeling of 3pm Saturday and seeing those names above if they were appointed - and not thinking about whether they should actually be here in this current day and age. I’d be pretty furious if most of the above happened. Nigel Gibbs has maybe got a place in the academy, and Luther a place as a part-time strikers coach for a temporary period - that’s as far as I could go. Elton John shouldn’t be running football clubs, Kenny Jackett is treading water as a coach and Tim Sherwood should be nowhere near it. Get a modern equivalent of GT - and they are out there I bet (Paul Cook...I won’t let that name drop) and we’re in business.
Not when it’s the wrong word, tho’, eh? And what’s the ‘education paid for’ comment about? Eventually, people won’t understand the point. As in ‘I am a supporter have Watford FC’.
We are getting bogged down . No one says "I am a supporter have Watford FC " The misuse is "I should of (have) scored" . Everyone knows what is meant . Don't be a pedant .
To be honest, I think it is too late to care about our reputation keeping him would be almost as stupid as appointing him in my opinion.
All my own fault, it was my choice to bunk off school and get up to no good. But no regrets, it’s all worked out probably the harder way. I now have the pleasure of annoying some on here Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I thought the person (was it GoingDown?) who posted this earlier was joking, predicting the stuff he might say in a mocking manner, but alas no. A ten-year-old could come up with something more insightful, even one whose first language is Spanish.
Cook was on the bookies short list before Xisco came in. Don’t know much about him other than he was at Wigan, listening to him today as a pundit he seemed to talk sense as did Cowley. As for Elton not running footy clubs maybe he could just fund us and have a few of us off this forum doing the dirty work for him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
A bit harsh on Sherwood, who came into the sinking ship that was Villa and managed to keep them up for one more season, getting them to the FA Cup final in the process, I personally thought he was unlucky to get the boot as not even Pep could have saved that shambles of a team. Or maybe it was more a case of the new manager effect, being a good mate to a bunch of players low on confidence and then later found wanting tactically? I'd still have him over Munoz as the effect lasted quite a bit longer than it has with the latter.
