Watford Fc 1-2 Qpr - 01/02/2021

In a way I'm actually relieved. We're not going up. The owner has seen to that. The rest of the season will play out. No surprise how we played or the result. It was always going to happen at some point. Last minute goal conceded SHOCK.

We've only scored 23 goals from open play all season. The Pozzo's are getting what they deserve. A mid-table Championship club they've spent a fortune on.

 

Inane team selection and unlike the other occasions we were punished.
Why not start PZ if KS not fit for ninety?
So disjointed and lacking in any tempo or urgency.
What a waste of a match and unfortunately a season.
A bad day just got a lot worse.
I dread to read the meltdown on here tonight/tomorrow but it's probably justified.
Why bring on Gray? Can anyone answer that?
I'm going to have a bath and then in the words of Basil " I may go to Canada".

 

Lucky to only lose 2-1. We got battered by a team in 19th.

 

Finally, we see an over-the-hill striker score a very good goal from attacking a cross! What sorcery?!

Just a shame it was for our opponents.

Hughes on the left, and Zinkernagel not being given a chance says it all. Gray is absolutely useless. Navarro also doesn’t seem great.

At least we have kept our commanding central midfielder, the one and only Chalobah

Shout out to Sema though, really great effort from him and actually produced a few good runs.

The team is so disjointed, the only thing we can currently offer is long balls over the top to Sarr.

Surely it can only get better after Millwall away and then that? Doubtful though

 

This ‘Head Coach’ will be gone by March - mark my words.

 

As someone said earlier, it's like Sunday league. Everyone is told their position and that's it. There is no plan whatsoever beyond that. It's amazing really.

 

That was horrific. Outplayed by lower-mid table mediocrity.

Some of their players could hardly kick a football, yet they looked better than our clueless lot.

We can't control the play, even against some of the worse sides in the division and we have no goal scorer. And we have an owner who refuses to do anything about it.

Our transfer window has been an absolute embarrassment, and the perfect illustration of what this club has become.

 

Sema was a great sub and really added to the team.
The other 3 contibuted nothing.

But hey, at least we have our new talisman Dan Gosling for our next match!!! And Zinckernagel looks promising, not sh1t or out of his depth at all!!! Not to mention a shiny new 3rd choice keeper as well!

Woe betide anyone who thinks that getting rid of several players meant that we could vaguely strengthen the squad this month. We're so clearly in pole position to go up and not dropping like a stone at all!

Tonight had been coming for a long time. The worst Watford team I've ever seen attempt to 'play' football, the fact we won as many games have we have is some sort of footballing miracle.

 

They were awful, and we were worse.

 

Spot on. We have odd spells where Sarr gets us in good positions but we never control a game full stop.
Every team we play controls possession whilst our midfield scamper around.
Apart from winning the penalty Sarr did nothing, and we lost the game by not having a LB on the pitch where they skinned us. Why does every team walk through our D with ease whilst we never ever attack thru the middle of the oppo bo?

Disgraceful. The manager showing himself for the complete amateur his CV advertised. I can’t stand Pozzo. But most of all I have contempt for the ******s in our fan base who still defend Pozzo to the hilt and attack those who have called this all along.

Those fans deserve what is about to happen to us in the next two years.

 

Controversial opinion: Gray wasn't why we lost. He nearly played Sarr through and played a great pass to Sema who put in that wicked cross and generally did as much as JP did. We lost as we kept giving away the ball in dangerous areas due to their high press and poor ball retention in the central midifeld and wingers.

 

A pen was the only way we were going to score.

Gray 0/10, Navarro 1/10 (I think he passed to a Watford player once).

 

Just deplorable. There are some players who don’t give a **** (Sarr, Navarro and Gray). Others are just useless, (Navarro and Gray). Zinkernagel is also in at least one of those categories.

As for structure and tactics, it is literally impossible to figure it out.

Navarro and Gray should be highly embarrassed about collecting a wage as professional footballers.

At least Sema showed what can be achieved.

Really troublesome performance, attitude and plan. Created so few clear cut chances.

Hard to keep interested in this bunch.

Fair play to QPR. Took advantage of our ineptitude.

 

As soon as Gray came on I put a tenner on QPR to win at 20/1. Tee hee

 

What's the alternative? To play 433 we'd need to actually have a decent #9.

 

Don't even know where to begin.

Square pegs in round holes AGAIN with the players in the system. Hughes out wide? Brilliant.

No tempo, no urgency, no quality.

One bit of good play from Sarr wins a penalty, well taken by TD.

Then we allow QPR to dictate the game and invite the pressure. When will we f**king learn!? Got what we deserved tonight and that was nothing!

Munoz, as nice a man as he is, is horribly out of his depth. I don't blame him though, I blame the f**king clowns running our circus! They're the ones that need to go. Sell up.

 

February 1st 2021.

A day that highlighted all that is wrong with our club.

A clueless end to the transfer window, failing to strengthen in the area we most needed to.

And a clueless showing by our cheap and cheerful Head Coach on the pitch.

Don’t invest in a decent manager or a good goalscoring forward Gino and you deserve your comeuppance.

The season might as well end now for all the fun the rest of it promises to be.

 

Our festering decay as a club continues. Our squad is weaker now than before the window, our team is weak and full of spineless chancers on vastly inflated salaries. Our coach is a hapless yes man who has absolutely no idea how to set up a team, coach or install tactics. Just speaking idiotic nonsense in pidgin English and clapping his hands.
Our owner is an arrogant, stubborn, narcissistic, sneering crook with an inflated self image. We have learned nothing from every mistake made and we repeat the same mistakes over and over again.

This window has been an utter disgrace, perhaps even surpassing the Pussetto window last January in the criminal neglect paid to our team by our loathsome owner.

It's clear that the club is not healthy financially and it's obvious to anyone with a shred of perception that it's been a sinking ship in all visible aspects for some time.

We aren't going up this season. Anyone with any value will be sold in the summer and we will be left with a few kids, a few old duds on long contracts, Deeney and Gray and not much else. The full circle from Baz, to within the tantalising reach of glory and back to being a penniless club, with perilous finances and zero hope of advancement will be back. Pozzo is going to leave us worse than he found us. Mark my words.

 

I can’t decide on Bachmann, in the games he has played I can’t recall him really having done anything memorable. Granted we have had clean sheets but I’m not sure how much he has contributed to them. Watching tonight hasn’t helped me decide if he is a long term Foster replacement

 

They're all bloody luck there's no fans in the stadium otherwise tonight could have got very ugly for Gino and Co

 

The Spanish waiter on the sideline playing central midfielders out wide and then bringing Zinckernagel on as a holding midfielder literally says it all about this club.

Absolutely clueless from top to bottom.
