    Knight GT Predictor extraordinaire 2013/14

I'm mot sure he's any better than who is currently playing. Missed chances like Gray did the other night. Played quite well at Sheff Wed but I've not seen much else to get excited by his return

  2. Hogg-DEENEY!!!

    Hogg-DEENEY!!! Squad Player

LOL, no chance he'd have been our main man, it would have taken an Ivan Toney-esque player to force Deeney out of the team...even then I'm not so sure!

  3. Hogg-DEENEY!!!

    Hogg-DEENEY!!! Squad Player

He's scored as many as Deeney and Gray from open play, would be more of course if the lino against Brentford weren't so eager, won the penalty against Brum and played well against Wednesday and Rotherham. Is he a panacea...no, but he's an upgrade on what we have at the moment. Things might just happen with Perica on the pitch, whereas you know with Gray that he's just gonna scuff the ball to the oppo any time he's in on goal

Early next month he'll be in consideration apparently. See you in April, Stipe

Another injury set back. What a terrible signing.

    Mindless red card
    One goal
    Continually injured
Missed a lot of good chances

Looks like Perica will have a similar impact as Geijo & Acuna did.

Unsurprising that the cheap option hasn't worked out so far...

  9. Sort of OK

    Sort of OK Reservist

Shame because I do have the impression he may not be too bad if he could string a few games together, he at least looks up for it and generally has reasonable movement in the small amount of time we have seen him, OK missed a couple but no more than our currently available offerings and hasn't really had the chance to get up to speed.

My biggest disappointment is that he seems pretty poor aerially given he is quite a big lad, that said I also think he is overly compensating from getting sent off in his first game, perhaps needs to dial the aggression up a bit again. He talked about that in an early interview with him and I think it is holding him back.

Obviously he could turn out to be a lemon, even with a run of games, but not sure he has been sh1t enough to be written off in the limited time he's had. Would like him fit just to add another option, may not be JP but definitely not AG.

I have hope for Perica when he's fit. He's looked the part most games and should have had a winner v Brentford wrongly called offside. He's good in the air but only when not under pressure which is bearable but annoying. Goes to ground too easily. Sods law, I think thia is his his longest spell out injured in his career I think.

    Malteser2 Reservist

That mindless red card has proved to be costly.

Feasibly he could have started all of the three matches he was suspended for. Got a good run of games under his belt, and hopefully hit some form, and not looked back.

We will never know of course, but it was a needless pity that we never got to found out.

Looks a bit of a Euro wimp when playing, which is consistent with his seemingly permanent injury. Think the championship is just a bit too rough for him.

Warning signs were there when we only gave him a two year contract when we signed him. When do we ever sign any player in there prime for just two years?

He’s only a youngster. Gino saves the 5 year contracts for the geriatrics.

Well if Success is ahead of you it doesn’t say much !

  21. Freebie from Udinese so was worth a go, but if / when promoted I expect JP and Cucho to be the first choice strikers.

    Genuinely forgot he existed.

Absolutely awful. The Swedish second tier or similar beckons.

  24. RS2

He's never had a run of games so a bit unfair to judge but he doesn't seem to have impressed Ivic or Munoz. For a big guy he seems to have no idea how to hold and protect the ball. Surely he played against tough defenders in Italy?

Looks like our owners were blinded by someone doing well in Belgium again. A goal every other game for Mouscron but utter gash everywhere else.

I think Perica should play ahead of Gray or Success, but The Kid sees them all everyday in training so I suppose he knows best

    The guy's absolute horse shyte.

Imagine how far clear we'd be if the ***wits in charge had bought even a half decent striker instead of gambling everything on this bum.

    From Official site 4th Feb:
"Strikers Stipe Perica and Isaac Success are back training with the first-team squad having both shaken off hamstring complaints".

How many months does it take to shake off a hamstring complaint?

    This made me larf:

    Perica Positives
Arriving from NK Zadar in 2013, Chelsea have unearthed a gem in Perica.
In a select comparison with four other promising teenage No. 9s who played 15 league games or more last season, Perica was statistically the most dominant.
    Perica is passionate and resilient.
    Bottom Line
Perica has the characteristics of a prototypical Jose Mourinho centre-forward: aggressive, tall, mobile and a scorer.

    Resilient ....... ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha hohohohohohohohoho

I 'd at least have him on the bench on Friday, as none of our other strikers seem to be producing the goods right now so maybe he should be given the chance.

Yes, the answer to underperforming strikers is to replace them with one who is far worse.

Was he injured all along? They don't normally put first teamers in the U23s unless they're coming back from injury
