Just to need sure we are promoted before that run starts - win the next 15 and we will already be up

Potentially a good player in my opinion. Lots of pace, aggressive and only 21.

Burnley and West Brom are looking at him so I can't be the only one that thinks he's decent

I suspect we will probably end up around 4th (I fear Swansea’s superior defence and Brentford’s better attacking abilities will see them both finish above us) but when we lost at Huddersfield and Ivic was still in charge for a few more hours, I was genuinely worried we might miss the top six altogether.

We are right back in the mix, which is exciting, especially as we are back in lockdown and surrounded by so much gloomy news everyday.

I’m even looking forward to Tuesday night now, which considering it’s an away match is quite a feat!

absolutely, problem is often it’s only really Sarr, Sema and Kiko pushing forward , if the spare player is in midfield , we go through the cycle of passing around till we lose it or are forced back into our own 1/2

Assumed from the starting line-up we were going to be 4-3-3, but whatever happened that saw Cleverley occupy the left wing spot for a period of time can’t be allowed to happen again. Completely out-fought and out-thought in the first half, and we can’t continue to start games with poorly consider tactical set-ups.

    Better second half in fairness.

Kiko is a high-level performer in this league. Found out defensively in the Premier League, but he’s a step ahead of most at the minute.

Perhaps it’s a sign of growing confidence, or a change in mentality, but what a difference it makes when Sarr plays with some conviction in both his movement, and the way he hits the ball. Too often he’s poked at the ball, rather than hit it, or turned back rather than run at his man.

Joao Pedro has that little bit of nastiness about him that can separate top players from the rest. He’s a winner and it shows in the way he goes about his work. Still raw, and plenty to develop, but he’s got the tools to be a really good forward. His hold-up play is particularly good, with his ability to control the ball under pressure and spin into space.

Fair play to Troy last night, he put in a much better performance in terms of work-rate and effectiveness in linking up with others. Movement when the ball is out wide still leaves a lot to be desired. I’d love to see him look like he really believes he could get onto the end of crosses and balls into the box. Better though.

Ekong looks like he was designed to be a top level central defender, but he’s been a big disappointment so far. Distribution of the ball has been so poor. Needs to be more decisive in what he does.

    Promising second half.

The foul on Pedro was one of the clearest penalties you'll ever see. Shocking decision and lucky It didn't cost us 2 pts. Glad Pedro didn't break his ankle kicking the hoardings in frustration.

Lost count of the amount of opposition players he's made fall over with his step-over dummy that he likes to do when pressed. Feel sorry for Ngakia losing his place but Kiko is one of the first names on the teamsheet imo.

Kiko has been fantastic. It just shows the main difference between the PL and the championship (as obvious as it is to say) is the sheer quality of the attacking players and hence why he struggled at that level. We’ve looked ordinary to bad in so many games, but the vast majority of teams just don’t have the attacking quality to hurt us.

I don't recall Robbo spending a game with his arms wrapped around his opponents. N-D used to play for Luton and he gives Luton a bad name.

It figures. He enjoyed fouling Sarr, goading him and then laughing in his face. Shades of that little runt Allen last year. Stoke are a nasty side, with a group of thugs playing for them.

Absolutely.!!! Even live you could see how he hit Clevs high and late but had the nerve to throw himself and rolling in agony, hoping to con the ref that he had also been caught badly in a 50/50 challenge.... He got away with it, would have gone off with VAR....

The foul on Pedro anywhere else apart from the box is a free kick, have never understood these decisions. On another day Masina would also have got one the ref did seem to have a decent view.

    Pretty much spot on.
I don't mind them mixing the formation up to keep the opposition thinking but it didn't work, but they sorted it at the break.
Xisco has so far impressed me the desire and passion is seeping back in to the team and he and his staff should be credited for that. Let's be honest who doesn't like a happy work place.
Agreed I'm desperate to see Zinc get a start hopefully that will come against Millwall, who didn't look great against Bristol city yesterday. But the commentator said they had 8 changes in the starting 11, couldn't tell you if its true bc I don't follow them. Pitch was shocking though and if Fielding is the regular keeper he needs putting under pressure bc he ain't upto the task. Plus it's now 9 without a home win for them. It's definitely a different type of Millwall under Rowett than it was Harris thank God.

Can Zinckernagel really play equally well on the left as on the right, because it’s difficult to see Sarr being left out at the moment? Or is he another one of our signings who we are told can play “anywhere along the front line” but in truth really can’t?

He won't replace Sarr on the right and rightly shouldn't. As for playing on the left. Imo yes. He's good with both feet. I like the thought of him coming in off the left to shoot or cross with his right. But is more than capable of going on the outside of the defender to deliver with his left. Once he's given the opportunity I believe he will make that position his own. No doubt he's shown flashes of what he's capable of and a run of games will do him and us the World of good.

Interesting. I hope you’re right. We really need to see him play a full 90 minutes, don’t we?

They should try swapping sides throughout the game. I think he would be an excellent number 10 and leave Sema on the left. However, that would probably mean dropping Troy which won't happen or having to play Deeney up top.

I'm sure he's going through a bedding in period. His best will come once he's getting regular minutes on the pitch.

The commentators were saying they could only assume the ref was unsighted but the replays seemed to show the ref looking straight at Masina!

If Xisco gets us winning away games, as seems to be the case, I think the rest of the league are playing for second place. Time to be confident now.
