Maybe he should play his teeth as centre backs?

    Urgh, can't stand Klopp.

He reminds me of Chris Finch from The Office. All smiles and banter when things are going well, but as soon as he loses or experiences a mild inconvenience, he turns into a manchild grade A c*nt.

West Ham taking a huge financial hit over Haller: bought for £45m, sold for £20m.

Premier league clubs given a long list of things they must do in training and match day to stop the spread.

All very well but won't man much if the players are doing what they like away from the club.

Premier League coach David Moyes doesn't seem to be on good terms with either the camera operator, the director, or both, as a carefully placed written critique of his very being is writ large behind him on the BBC earlier this evening.

Huge club. Different level of budget, not hunting in the bargain bins to try to compete like us.

Seems to be doing well for them !

We must have had his brother last season.

History repeating. In Derby’s disastrous 11 point season, the only team they beat was Newcastle.

Man U denied a good goal apparently.

Sure the ref will it up with a late penalty then !

Dyche would have been absolutely fuming if it had been a Burnley goal. Poor decision.

I thought it was an excellent header and nothing more than what usually happens when you’ve got a run on the ball against a static defender.

Just seen that Palace have 19(!) players out of contract in the summer including:

    Schlupp
    Sakho
    Townsend
    Benteke
    Van Aanholt
    McCarthy
    Guaita
    Clyne
    McArthur
    Ward
    Meyer
    Dann
    Kelly
    Cahill
    Hennessey
    Wickham

That is mental, that's gonna take some job to be able to recruit basically an entire team. It would've actually been quicker just to list the players that are staying (Butland, Tomkins, Ferguson, Jach, Milivojevic, Kouyate, Riedewald, Eze, Zaha + Ayew)

I think Clyne is re-signing and surely they would want to keep some of the younger ones on that list?
As an aside, I had no idea until this week when he popped up in the Cup that Butland was at Palace, which I suppose is an indication of how detached I am from football at the moment.

Do you think any of those players who will be out of contract be of any interest to us? And if so, would they be a realistic target for us seeing as they will be free agents?

Presumably though their plan would be to keep some once they firm up their PL status for another year? I guess with Covid and as a perennial candidate for relegation Palace have been pretty wise making sure if they did go down they had the flexibility to ditch a load of expensive older players in one go. Unlike, say, Watford.

Perhaps, however they have the oldest squad in the league so probably not a great idea to be throwing contract extensions round to a bunch of 32+ year olds

Who is worth watching in the PL?
Leeds,Leicester,Fulham,Man City sometimes if you can get over the obvious.
Everyone else is dour as evidenced by last night's match.
Palace are London version of Burnley with the added frisson of "Weaselwatch" to see how many times he falls over, throws his arms in the air and gives a bug eyed stare.

Guardiola was very complimentary about Brighton, praising their manager and style of play, presumably in comparison with the approach of Burnley, Palace etc. He seems to think their only problem is goal scoring, which is quite a big one of course.

Maybe I’m a cynic, but of course he’s complimentary. Brighton playing that open style of football against him means Pep is good for those 6 points and usually a bump to the goal difference every season. 13-2 aggregate score in favor of City since Potter arrived.

I have yet to see Fernandes play well in a big game and his reaction at the end was juvenile.

Palace were attempting to claim the Burnley Time Wasting Award on a feeble eight minutes.
This has now gone by the wayside especially after Federer's goal for City.

Villa falling foul to a ridiculous offside decision at Man City. Even within the oddity of the law I cant see how that's not offside.

Being in an offside position isn't an offence any more, that's why. It's what the player does while he's in the offside position that determines it. In this case I guess they decided Rodri didn't interfere with Mings at the point he decides to cushion the ball down. And obviously as soon as Mings touches it the opponent is no longer in an offside position regardless of where he is on the pitch.

I agree it looks wrong though and hope they use this example to tweak the law. Again.

They reckon "play moved onto next phase" because Mings touched it. I would interpret it being the same phase but hey ho.

Villa should leave their forward 10m offside at all times for the next game to tackle defenders as soon as they've touched it.
