With Deeney still in the team it needs more of a "gastric band of brothers" mentality.

Not only that but we won't get PL loans when no-one has heard of the manager and there is no continuity.

    What has this club become?

Our manager doesn’t even have the qualifications to coach at the highest level, with his experience consisting of 11 games in a country I didn’t even know they played football in. I have never seen such a devaluement of a position in football like this before.

No wonder Duxbury didn’t want want to go into detail at the virtual event about the statement and what they meant by ‘learning from their mistakes’ - it’s because it was utter b0llocks. Proven by another sacking, players still causing issues and hierarchy still getting involved in team affairs during the game.

They can’t change because they don’t want to. They’ve lied to every single one of us, whether you knew that at the time or not. You know it now. They don’t deserve one more ounce of your goodwill. Because they won’t give it in return.

If, by some miracle, this new guy turns out to be a success, I’ll still find it incredibly difficult to praise them. Because I won’t be able to shake the belief that it’s by luck, not judgment.

I was furious over the summer about the mismanagement and the empty hollow words - I knew that they were utter bullsh1t. I knew they wouldn’t change. But this past 48hrs has pushed me beyond being furious to the point where I just don’t care anymore.

While I thank them for the good times, I hate what this owner and his pals have turned us into. And that makes me despise them. Staggering really given where we were 18 months ago. Quite the hatchet job.

As regards Xisco, I suppose you never know, but as things stand I expect us to slip down the table more entertainingly than would have been the case if Vlad had stayed.

Given what's happened since the Cup Final, I see no evidence that Gino is going to start getting it right - either because he's lost the plot or because he's run out of money to keep us competitive.

I can't speak for football qualifications but in tennis ( 5 levels, 1&2 are classed as "Assistant Coaches". 3 is called Level 3,4 can split into "Club" or "Performance" strand and 5 likewise "Master Performance Coach,me or "Master Club Coach". Unwritten Level 6 is Tutor, also me) some recently qualified L3 coaches can be better than some L5 and tutors. On the flip side some L3s who have been qualified for over ten years aren't worth tuppence.
    In short,qualifications can be misleading.

Gino should get this in as manager.

He seems unable to get on with people, take on board salient advice and incapable of letting people far more qualified than him get on with their job. Not to mention his constant undermining of managers. He seems to have a personality of wanting to the be the man and rather insecure.

In short he should remove himself from the club. He is a laughing stock and he has made the club a laughing stock. Utterly useless and incompetent.

So nice of you to look down at your nose at all those 9 year old Pozzo Apologists getting excited at getting Watford kits for Xmas . How stupid they are writing letters off to Santa when they should be typing angry emails to the club.

Perhaps you could hack the Watford website for their social media details so you can truly tell them in person how imbelic they are for blindly and stupidly supporting their local football team .

It’s not even so much if he gets it right, it’s if he has the right approach whether it succeeds or fails. Just a couple of additions that are young and will be of use next season come what may would be a step forward.

If however we extend Deeney’s contract then I give up completely.

You really need to understand how disrespectful and patronising it is to condescend people who buy football merchandise and support their team .

Buying a football kit doesn’t mean you are blindly following .

    It’s part of being a supporter .

Clearly through their actions (or lack thereof) over the last few years we're in a bit of a pickle now--even if they do have the best of intentions now (and I have no idea of what their true intentions are now), their hands are tied because shockingly nobody wanted to buy Deeney and Gray. With them we're fading into Championship mediocrity again, anyone else (within reason--no billionaire sugar daddy is taking us over any time soon!) will also have the same challenges

The clubs hierarchy have made plenty of mistakes and it can get extremely frustrating at times but if we are completely honest the Pozzo family have been the best thing to happen to us since the Elton John and the first Graham Taylor era and they have completely transformed this football club. I think unless a rich owner comes in and buys the club we are in the safest hands and the best position that we could possibly be in, yes we may have to deal with new managers and unusual decisions at times which is frustrating but it could me a lot worse.

Technically yes, but I just wonder when Giampaolo handed over the reigns fully. I'm convinced Gino made the call on McKinlay then his dad intervened and told him to hire a proper coach.

We'll never really know I suspect, but I am very suspicious over the sudden decline in Watford's fortunes with all the bizarre decisions being made. There has to be something more tangible behind it. You don't go from turning water into wine, then wine into p1ss overnight for no reason.

Maybe, given how this season has gone so far they are in the process of winding us down like they did Granada. The simple fact is they can’t afford to bankroll the club to give us a chance of staying up and we no longer have the pool of talented players within the Pozzo group to help us out of this mess.

Udinese fans want the Pozzos out too. I read plenty of their supporters coming on here saying .... “it’ll be great at the start and then they will refuse to invest in defensive players, because they don’t believe they have as much saleable value as attacking players”. “Everything will be loans and sub standard players, all they are looking to do is invest in a player who could become the superstar”. “We as fans have been crying out for X type of player for years but they won’t buy one”. “In a few years, really good players will be linked to the club to excite you, and convince you, they are trying, but they are never bought, it’s a bluff” ...... and the best one was “You will never hear from them - they never communicate with the fans, everything is a big secret, we know very little about them”.
I remember reading comments like these during the first 6-12 months of the Pozzos taking over, but I ignored it. I got blinded by the influx of good, new players - a few of real quality. Add the construction of a stand to give us a 4 sided ground and I was onboard, I was awestruck at what was happening at little old Watford. After years of being owned by, time share cronies, a travel agent, an ice skater, 2 salad farmers and some imbecile in a red hat - I was hooked, like a drug ....I was a disciple .... and I preached the mantra - “In Pozzo we trust” . Well on reflection I don’t trust them anymore. I don’t like how our once great club is being run and how we are ignored, taken for fools and our support being taken for granted. Every single one of us for the past 3 years have been saying we need a new defence, we need new strikers .... we’ve sat back and watched other lesser teams buy young talented players from the lower leagues..... and we have been left to rot with a pathetic core of un-committed players, stealing a luxurious living. I mean even the Sir Elton John stand was and is semi permanent and the cheapest option available. It’s the equivalent of living in a mobile home and convincing the homeless and vulnerable it’s a mansion. When Pozzo took over we as fans were desperate, vulnerable and we were on our knees begging for an owner that wasn’t a fat fraud in a red builders hat. But I’m afraid we have had the wool pulled over our eyes - I certainly feel I have.
I’m sick of Pozzo and Duxbury hiding and not treating the fans with respect - avoiding our questions and concerns. This is our club and while I did get hooked and enjoyed the ride, I feel a fool and I am currently completely disillusioned with the ownership of my club. In 3-6 months time the club will be tapping us all up for season ticket money as hopefully this pandemic will be over - will the prices be less now we are in an inferior quality league? Will it be less expensive as we are predominantly watching a load of stinkingly rotten players trot around doing nothing for 90mins. No it won’t and I know a few fans who won’t be spending another penny or renewing season tickets until the club provides some updates and answers our questions. If we are f**ked tell us - if you are sorry, tell us - don’t keep ignoring us. Make this right Gino or get out and take Duxbury, Deeney and Gray with you.

So in answer to the question I am in the “In Pozzo I do not trust” camp

They should be careful what they wish for they nearly went bust before the Pozzos they got a new stadium built they didn't even nearly have a club they have been in the top division for years they should understand they are never going to compete with the big boys like atalanta they aren't exactly going to get a billionaire they need to cut their cloth accordingly they nearly got bought by a dentist they should look at charlton and granada and think again careful what they wish for coyh

The rest of your comments make some sense but this bit is a kind of baffling to me. A stand is a bums on seats thing and Pozzo deserves a lot of credit for turning a crumbling decrepit safety hazard in the hardest part of the stadium to develop into a smart, useable stand. Several of his predecessors had promised it but only he delivered. With it came decent changing rooms for the players, the media room and upgraded players' lounge etc too, so really it's more than just seats anyway.

I don't believe it was the 'cheapest option available' either but even if it was, what's the issue with that? Liverpool just built one stand for around £110m. That's a joke of a price. And the semi-permanent thing is a pretty meaningless phrase too. It's not a wobbly scaffolding construction or some sort of marquee with seats inside. It's got a steel frame and concrete terracing, which I think is is pretty standard construction for football stands these days. It's probably capable of lasting longer than any of us.

I think there's many, many things on the football side to knock Pozzo for but the improvements to the stadium would be an enduring and positive legacy if he sold up tomorrow.
