Can have an opinion on all the other managers who have had more than a few games with us, but it's a struggle mustering any enthusiasm or derision towards Mazzarri, that season was just one big ball of nothing
Random, but I've just noticed that everywhere - including our website - has him listed as being 6 foot 1. He must have started cross dressing and wearing high heels because he is never, ever 6'1.
Saturday interview - 'I'm completely over my mystery injury and can't wait to kick on' Thursday Ivic - 'Hughes has a setback and I don't know how long he's out for' You orns.
Manager getting **** all sensible information from the medical team as usual. Masina back in November then February and then back to November. Clueless.
Dare I say the only bright point from today. Will make a difference for sure, the only worry I have is that he may have too much on his plate for one man to deal with...
He won't make any difference whatsoever. We've said this about a good 5 or 6 players now. Under this manager nothing is going to change.
Must have warmed up well - had just shorts and a shirt on whilst some of our others had long sleeve and even tights on!
To be honest he is the only player we have who has the mindset and ability to change the way we play. He can play the balls, has the work rate and speed of thought.Sarr and Sema will love him but we we need a forward. Make him captain now and give free transfers to Deeney and Cleverley. Gotta start changing things now.
So, a good 20 minutes under the belt tonight, not much to write home about other than a booking for a rather professional foul, but still, good signs, hopefully it's Hughes and Capoue in the middle of the park going forward
Not his finest game by a long way, but he has been out for a VERY LONG time, so I am sure he will be better with time. He probably needs a few more cameos from the bench to get up to speed before making it back to the starting eleven.
No, he's looked miles off the pace in the couple of cameos he's had so far this season. Wouldn't surprise me. He only had a good few months last season under Pearson as well, the rest of the season he was rubbish.
That probably has a lot to do with Pearson playing him in the centre instead of on the right so he was able to use his best attributes more. I still dont get Javi playing him right wing considering Hughes is one of the slowest players in the squad and is also left footed.
Will, mate, you're a cracking player, and a good lad, but please, for your own sanity, get a move in the summer
