You forgot there's also the luton connection, the cupping his ears at the Watford fans away at newcastle (and elsewhere, I forget where), the history of homophobia (apologised for, but since when do people care about that), the celebrity wife, the attention seeking (in some people's eyes) tattoos, the murky past (he's been photographed with gangster types if i remember rightly). Plus probably other stuff I cant remember. Surely it is really easy to see why he gets grief? I cannot understand your confusion. There's a reason there for everyone. Personally, I dont care about any of that stuff. I just think he's not good enough.
All of the above is interesting reading. I will add this to the pot: He is not only less than we had all hoped for but now injured a lot too. Not a good combination even if you exclude the L***n connection.
Or you could do one of the all times he turned defenders inside out and all of his goals and assists which, considering that they were pretty much every other game, won't be hard to find?
It's the utter ineptitude that drives the opinion of him, he's not getting a raw deal. Football fans are completely fickle, if he somehow started passing to his team mates and scoring loads of goals, this thread would be singing his praises. But, a few games/goals aside, he's been a monumental dud and seems to be getting worsen even though we've dropped down a level. No amount of 'he runs around and makes space for others' nonsense can paper over the fact that he is a professional footballer with a touch and game awareness better suited to Sunday league (apart from when he's in the box where he does have a knack of being in the right place).
There's genuinely only 2 players in my sunday league team with a worst first touch than Gray. The left back (obviously), and the perennially injured player/manager.
Not sure your opinion is worth anything regarding this player as you have already said multiple times that you hate him.
Gray has applied for a Jamaican passport and by all reports it won't be long before it comes through. Andre Gray, international footballer (in waiting).
You forgot one of my personal favourites, the lockdown party leading to several missed games after the re-start during a failed attempt to avoid relegation. Unbelievably arrogant or stupid. Highest earner at the club apparently as well.
As a footballer on a football pitch, yes. Personally I don't give much of a s**t about his non-football life or past. Nice try, King Clapper.
He'll try a fancy flick at it,miss and it'll get stuck behind the fridge with the half sucked boiled sweet and the piece of carrot. I've tried to be supportive of Andre but every time I think "he'll do better today, it will all click and he will prove everyone wrong" he manages to get worse. What interests me now is how bad can he get? Hopefully this will not happen with us.
This can't be far off gross misconduct https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/13342...dre-gray-poker/amp/?__twitter_impression=true
Broken lockdown for a party AGAIN. If there is any chance that this constitutes a breach of contract then the club should bin him off immediately. Awful player, massive wages and a wreckless, selfish, irresponsible c*** as well. Get rid.
Absolutely. I really hope the club are looking at whether this latest stunt of his constitutes a breach of his contract. Hope so.
Hope what he has done is grounds for sacking him, at the very least he should be suspended without pay if possible
Don't think we'll see him being sacked for it sadly. Further evidence that he is a complete pr*ck though. Got to be one of our worst signings in history in terms of fee paid, on-field and off-field actions.
Your point was that I "hate" him in a generic sense. I pointed out that what I hate are his performances and ability on a football pitch - a perfectly acceptable, explainable and quite widely held opinion - not skewed by a hatred of the man himself. To say my opinion on him as a footballer holds no worth because it is a "negative" one is exactly the sort of nonsensical, blinkered, happy clapper crap that I have come to expect from you.
Fine him half a years wages and give it hospitals to feed staff or those who are struggling with lockdown. He can serve the food each day himself and wash up as well. Might as well get some use out of his weekly wage.
He is still a very good Championship striker on FM, scored 13 in 36 in the league (of which I think about 30 of which were starts, and with him mostly playing centre forward but sometimes on the wing) as we annihilated the Championship with 112 points, as well as a 20 yard thunderbolt as we won away at Old Trafford in the FA Cup. Speaking of thunderbolts, Chalobah scored some absolute screamers for me too!
Our squad in general is massively overrated on FM lol, apart from Murray (who I didn't play once lol), Perica (who didn't score in about 7 games for me, missing 2 penalties including a costly one which would have seen us draw against Man City in the FA Cup) and Deeney who I sold to Marseille (where he tore up Ligue 1) in order to raise funds to buy a left-back, basically everyone was far far too good for the Championship
Virtually the whole team must play FM, because they obviously believe their stats and think they are waaaaaaaaaaaay better than they actually are on the REAL playing field
No pool or spa for Andre and Peri. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www....Gray-denied-permission-build-spa-complex.html
Genuine question. Can anyone name someone with less natural footballing ability? I can't think of anyone in my lifetime. The level of constant awkwardness, clumsiness and incompetence that he horrifically attempts to carry out even the basics with is genuinely something I've never seen before, even when watching lower league football. I'm talking way down the pyramid, too. Not Conference level. Lloyd Doyley could comfortably control, pass and dribble a football more competently than Gray.
Deeney and Gray aren’t good enough along with the majority of the squad. But the utter hysteria around them is genuinely concerning. People seem to be itching to try and criticise the two of them regardless of what they do, however crap they are. I’m not being facetious with this but I’m genuinely concerned about the fragile mental state of some people on here. There seems to be a deep anger burning inside.
