You're like: "Ughh! Nobody enjoy the game or celebrate a goal in case MY stream is a few minutes behind! It's ALL ABOUT ME didn't you know? Boo hoo! Waaaa haaaa! Mummmyyyy!!!"

 

It was hilarious, watching Burnsy moan about people celebrating goals before others had seen it.

What does he expect? Does everybody have to try and work out who has the last stream, and then await permission to cheer a goal?

He's quite happy to see negative stuff all the way through a game, but celebrate a Watford goal? Nah, can't have that!

I thought it was pretty good again today from afar. Smudger made me laugh, with his "Yes he scored, but his decision making is poor" moan after about 10 mins, as he does something that neither of our "real strikers" have done for ages.

 

Bizarre.

Why would anyone log on to the shoutbox if they have a stream already running?

That said, I’ve also been on the side of the angels and been leading from the front. It’s hard to resist saying what you know.

I don’t think there has ever been a more obvious example of the word futility than trying to stop people discussing goals on something designed to do just that.

People still use the shout box in a serious capacity?

 

I remember IRB getting banned for false goal shouts years ago, I think it was during Lewingtons reign, might have been Malky.

 

Apart from the Shoutbox Hero’s who never actually go to the game anyway .

Showing your true colours there. If you want to be snide and talk about me, then tag me I’ll state my case. Try and lead a thread of people to slag me off shows you up for what you really are.

For those I annoyed with my comments on Saturday, I apologise. Heat of the moment stuff but I will maintain that I was annoyed there and then because no one likes being told what’s about to happen whether it’s a film, football match, anything.

But I do accept the function of the shoutbox is to discuss the game in real time and it’s no one’s fault that Hive runs annoyingly (at least) 60 secs behind actual events. It was more that I’ve seen it said before that people go on the shoutbox to find out about the game if they can’t be there or watch it etc etc and ask question - ‘how’s ___ playing’ or ‘what shape are we playing?’ - so the other week I tried to keep people up to date as best I could whilst watching it, that’s all.

And I know you love a generalisation - but quite happy to see negative stuff all the way through a game? That’s fabrication and you know it. I was one of a few on Saturday who stuck my head above the parapet and defended Gray and Chalobah whilst others went to town on them for example.

Anyway, lesson learnt - don’t watch the game and try and be helpful for other not watching or listening. Got it.
