So after years in our shadow our Italian cousins must be laughing like drains as we've sent them tens of millions of attacking talent for nothing, meaning they'll probably have their best season in years whilst we are bumming around the Championship.

Tonight's great news is that they've won 3-1 with goals from Forestieri, Deulofeu and Pussetto whilst we are plodding along with zero creativity in our whole squad. Great stuff.

Surely the only one of those three that would've made the difference for us would’ve been Delefeou?

Pusseto is crap and Foresteri was no longer good enough for the championship, it’s not like we couldn’t have had him here if we’d really wanted him.

And on top sucked £5 million off our balance sheet with the Pussetto swindle. Oh well it’s not like we need any cash on this side - I’m sure the next accounts are going to look great under Pozzo’s wise stewardship.

But good enough for Serie A. I wonder if Akinfenwa would get in the Udinese team? On last night's evidence he'd walk (slowly) in to ours

The only one of those who could realistically have made a difference for us is Deulofeu (and in fairness, the Championship in the winter is not exactly the most forgiving environment for a player coming back from such an injury). Which rather begs the question, why on earth did we sign Pussetto? Clearly has ability, but looks like a strong breeze would knock him over, he was hilariously out of his depth against Newport

The bottom of Serie A is pretty grim tbf, Okaka and Zeegelaar look pretty good there

Yep they are in the relegation zone with only one win to their name and have to play Pussetto and Chicken Dive.
5 goals in 5 games looks like a right hoot.
Whereas we are challenging for promotion and have some of our best players about to enter the fray.
It's real tough being a Hornet these days:rolleyes:

Well this is the cup he’s scored in.

But surely the proof is in the pudding? We didn’t fancy him in the premier league, nobody else ever fancied him in the premier league, or even the championship after leaving Wednesday. I mean it’s not like these aren’t facts, I’m not making that up am I.

Nobody fancied Capoue in the Premier League either but I'm sure you're pleased to have him

Pussetto could score 30 goals this season and some will contort themselves into saying he would never have been good enough.

That’s not me saying we should have kept him - I think he wanted to leave and circumstances worked against him pretty much through his whole time here.

    But he’s not crap.

Not sure he was consistent enough or fit enough to be a regular in the PL. But it’s a shame he’s not with us this season - kinda striker we need (if he could last 90 mins)

Comparing Capoue to Fessi? Sorry, I don’t get that.

For starters we bought him from Spurs, a bigger premier league team than us

Either way, if we wanted Fessi then we could’ve had him. If you genuinely think he would improve our championship team and we should have signed him, then the best of luck to you.

TV money in Italy (including overseas rights) is much lower than the U.K. Udinese earned about £50m quid last year, the bottom team just over £30m. The standard is much lower at the bottom and between the bottom of the premier league and top of the championship in terms of standard.

I'd have preferred to see him coming off the bench with 20 minutes to go last night than Glenn f***ing Murray

Oh yeah, when he was on the pitch he looked threatening...only problem was he was blowing out of his arse all the time after 5 minutes...

Admittedly my view on Forestieri is based on his performances 5 years ago and he probably has become a bit sh1t in the intervening years, but what you have to understand is that I STILL LOVE HIM!!!

Gray should be pretty good at this level.
Hughes on the other hand will be one of the best midfielders in the division.
I reckon at least 20 of the other Championship clubs would love to have those two.

Anyone who thinks Fessi wouldn't be worth bringing in is mistaken. Free transfer and cheap wages=tonnes of entertainment value. Would definitely be a useful option off the bench too.

He has pace and has actually scored goals.
We need a striker who can keep up with Sarr.
Let's be honest this league isn't the best so "even" Gray should be able to do fairly well.

Would have been a cheap punt, but one that everyone would have been bemoaning when it became apparent that he isn't what he was. See also: Glenn Murray

Well I wonder what the reaction on here would be if we had 1 point after league 5 games?

Oh wait that was us last season...

I mean sure they look impressive on paper but so did we last season.
