Seems to be some play Tuesday and others Wednesday so Sky can show them all. Got another one against Stoke soon.
Why on Earth would we change to a four in defence when we have no left back? We're solid with a three and should and will stay that way. 3-4-3 for me with Perica in the middle of Sarr and Pedro/ Sema. No dou t there will be changes. I thought we desperately missed Garners set piece deliveries so hopefully he starts alongside Cleverly or Capoue if fit.
But again, what is Perica being "actually useful" really based on? A couple of decent touches against Sheffield Wednesday? We slag Murray off and rightly so because he is finished, but he's had a far, far better career than Perica has or likely ever will.
Probably based on a slightly improved performance vs Sheff when he came on. Not much to go on but even that was more impact than Murray has had on any game since he joined.
Murray - 215 goals in 543 appearances. Perica - 40 goals in 158 appearances. Perica is 12 years younger and, for the small amount of time I've seen him play, has the right sort of movement to exercise defenders*. Murray is over the hill and can't be expected to run around. One can envisage bringing on Murray with 20 minutes to go and just parking him in front of the Blackburn goal and spraying the ball in to him again and again. He won't have lost his instinct and experience and his record speaks for itself. * Then again, so does Gray. But probably his hamstring is still a problem. The other part of the problem is getting those crosses and passes in. Watford's approach play is too pedestrian for me.
You were literally moaning about the Derby line up that we didn't have a proper striker playing. Make your mind up.
Perica may not be the most prolific, and has certainly wasted a few good chances so far, but the fact he's getting in the positions to miss those chances shows what having a number 9 on the pitch can bring to your attacks. He also seems pretty mobile for his size and is a decent focal point for the team. Hopefully he can rediscover his finishing from last season in Belgium (7 goals in 9 starts).
Yep, and I still wouldn't start Perica and would still rather persist with Pedro who's best position is debatable. Get Sarr and Capoue in the team in a 3-4-2-1 and see how we get on then.
Will we get the Hive Live code for free on this one? I only have sky on my playstation so can't red button it, as it were..
I have the Sky Go app - there isn't an obvious way to do it but i'll have a look, thanks! (if anyone knows how, feel free to enlighten me).

It would be good to see Perica, Garner and Sarr start. I know Troost-Ekong's injury is only meant to be minor but even slight knocks mean our players are missing for weeks so I don't expect to see him in the squad on Wednesday. Thanks for the recommended reading Smudger, good idea, I will have a look.
I'd love Troost-Ekong to start every game for us, but given that we're well-stocked at the back, having him out isn't as much a cause for concern as others. Garner is a weird one, I quite like him, he's perhaps a bit unlucky not to have started on Friday ahead of Cleverley or Chalobah, but ideally I'd have Hughes and Capoue ahead of him in a more withdrawn role, probably him fighting it out with Clev, Quina and possibly JP for an advanced role. Sarr of course is one of the best players in the league, and Perica, while not outstanding by any means is an actual able-bodied striker
I'm always wary of a side managed by Tony Mobrary. He was in charge at WBA when they spanked us 0 - 3 a few years back. We were top of the table, unbeaten after 15 games I think it was, looked like we were going to walk the division. Then West Brom turned up, played really well and it was all south from there. You never know in football do you?
I'm expecting a lot of nullifying and cancelling out with this and the Muff match, I can't see many goals in these next two matches.
One good thing about Covid is that regular Wednseday night band rehearsals no longer clash with football. Silver linings and all that...
Albeit a lot of them were against Wycombe, but Blackburn have been among the goal this season. You'd also think (or hope anyway!) we'll have more bite with Perica, Sarr (almost definitely) to slot back in, and maybe Hughes and Capoue too
I like the way this team is going about it’s business. Disliked by pretty much everyone. 1-0, rinse and repeat.
I also use the Sky Go app on my Playstation. I've never been aware that you can access red button games through it. I can always buy a NOWTV pass, if that is guarantee to show the game.
