As for the game, what a ******* bore. Result was good though. Sarr, Capoue, Hughes, Gray, Deeney, will give us more attacking options. Defensively solid apart from two sloppy passes in the first half, way too much space for a Rooney chance in the 2nd and an “I’ve lost my complete sense of reason” wild challenge by Wilmot near the end.
Yawn. At least we had the one bit of magic and took the 3 points. Next 2 games will be more testing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
But I have explained why that is in my post. When those players become available we will hopefully have more purpose in the attacking 3rd.
You tiptoed around it today but given the size of our squad over 46 games it’s a certainty you’re going to lose this one. Feel free to pull my pants down in May.
The sides who go up this season will be those who show the greatest consistency over what is a very long season. They will most likely be teams who manage to still collect points when going through parts of the season when they get hit by injuries, suspensions or a lack of form. 10 points banked when you could present a strong case for us having one of those periods.
Seems like it! I am indeed, after you hopped on yours when you saw the line up. Same as when you embarrassed yourself before the Boro game.
Do you ever ever have any sense of joy in your life ? You just sound like a professional yorkshireman
Okay I'll give £50 to charity if Stevenson, Hungbo and Phillips make 10 league starts combined this season. Happy to match me? @Burnsy I'm sure you'll be up for this guaranteed winning bet too?
Yes, I'm so embarrassed because I'm refusing to pretend tonight was anything another than a poor performance in which we scraped a 1-0 win.
This league is crap. We’re doing this well, and we’ve got Capoue, Hughes, Gray etc and a fully fit Sarr still to come. Can you imagine Sarr, Pedro, Capoue and Hughes in this league? HMS Piss The League hasn’t even set sail yet, and we’re already leagues ahead.
I think quite possibly the only thing more boring than my "negativity" is people spouting crap like this. "U mUsT b So HaPpI iN uR lYf". My general happiness outside of Watford matches and an internet football forum is absolutely fine, cheers. It's almost as if posts on here don't actually define a person. Still, don't let that get in the way of you and others playing psychologist.
Wow. You really would hold a steaming turd aloft as a trophy of victory if you could get a good enough grip.
It's very difficult to build a team with a crap defence. The foundation is promising and that keeps us in EVERY game and gives us a chance of picking up points. We will improve offensively and be more of a goal threat but I'd take promotion we lots of 1-0 wins. Lots of criticism last season because we were crap defensively and now lots of criticism because we are too well organised and are trying to win games. Sorry but so far Ivic has it spot on and will get us promoted.
What an idiot. Embarrassing himself! How dare he analyse and care about more than just the fact we got three points?!
I'm not a fan of this formation - it's so damn boring - but realistically what else could Ivic do with the available players. Hell of a goal from Pedro, what a player he will be. Let's get some players back and see if we start playing some better stuff. Feels like the weak link is midfield at the moment, which should be pretty much overhauled with Hughes, Capoue back. Quina was better today - I still have hope for him. I think most of us want to see a 4-3-3 with Pedro, Sarr playing off an actual centre forward who's not eligible for the state pension. Hopefully that's what we move toward. Ekong looked decent. Murray watch: didn't touch the ball, vintage stuff, motm.
3 wins in 5 games, 1 goal conceded. All while worrying about players leaving, and having a Head Coach adjusting to a new country. Got through the transfer window with Sarr, Capoue and Hughes still in the squad. Those 3 to return plus Gray, Deeney and Perica to return. Looking forward to this season. Have a good weekend all!
I'm not going to complain at the performance, it was pretty much exactly what I was expecting. The real test of this squad's capabilities is when we have everyone fit and can play something resembling our best XI, until then, I'll take 10 points from 5
But it is constant and unrelenting. Just makes you sound like a ****. You may well be a charming and hilarious companion but you have boxed yourself into a corner and keep on going
Ivic also wasn't happy with our performance tonight despite the fact we scraped a 1-0 win. What a clueless, negative ****.
