I think this is unfair. Don't you remember our last promotion team, most of those were a 'load of rubbish'.
Sending Deulofeu to Udinese and selling Sarr screams nothing other than the Pozzo’s shutting shop with intent on leaving.
Then surely, the worst thing they can risk is us not going back up to the Prem? Selling off our best assets is not going to help us financially in the long run.
Screams that we're replacing our best players with a forward that doesn't score many goals and a center back that is marginally better than what we have already (and that's unproven).
But why bother, if they're selling up? Surely they'd keep a saleable asset like Troost-Ekong at Udinese, drop the price for Sarr to get the deal done and put Hughes and Pedro up for sale?
To be honest, we could sell most of the squad and given the clubs communication issues, we wouldn't even know. Bet we are left wondering if Deulofeu has left until some time in December when he finally runs out for Udinese.
Are you saying Gino’s so incompetent he can’t even oversee a proper fire sale to facilitate a sell out?
I'm not sure you significantly weaken club if you're looking to sell it? You want to keep it with decent assets and make it an attractive proposal to buyers surely? Be like trying to sell a car and then scratching it with the keys to attract buyers.
I could be wrong, but is he stood in the tunnel on Ben Foster's YouTube thing? Swear they high five after the game in the footage...
I think he has probably been injured longer than he has been available, if not it certainly seems like it!
ahhh so that’s why will Hughes was there, Gino was fetching the glue to get will to put janmaat back together again. will loves his puzzles.
High fiving is basically a gang sign around our place to indicate to others in the know that you’ve managed to score a new five year contract from the dealer and more are available.
I wonder how much we still have in terms of expense in wages given Capoue , Gray and Deeney haven't gone so far .. They aren't exactly on peanuts. I presume Udinese are paying GD wages ?
Unless they are ones who have relegation clauses? We were ‘told’ by Leventhal that about 80% of the squad had them - at least I think that’s the percentage he gave.
He's also said in an Athletic article that few were actually on relegation clauses, I'm fairly certain - I'll see if I can find it.
Nah, we will be picking up GD's wages. There's no way that we can expect them to stop suckling at our breast just because we are broke.
I guess you can only have a fire sale if you have fire. What we have are more like piss soaked embers. So far we have mostly given our pi ssy embers away, or just moved some of it to a different bit of the garden I'm never going to let the pozzos run my garage sale
I doubt they can afford all of GD's wages. Players tend to be on less in Italy. Why I think it's a bad deal for us.
