    GoingDown "The Stability"

9pm on Sky channel *checks Wikipedia* 144. No idea about other platforms.

Never watched it. Any of you football nerds seen it while we've been in the promised land of MOTD and SSN?

I'm assuming Steve Claridge and that Lesta fan who used to do the BBC stuff are heavily involved.

It's presented generally by Colin Murray with guests such as Sam Parkin, Dean Ashton, Michael Brown and Ian Holloway.

So expect more of the same really.

I might tune in just to see what Holloway is saying about us now ... probably stuff about foreign mercenaries .., 50 managers in 8 seasons , just not roight etc etc

I remember they usually had the Friday night game last most weeks.

Sam Parkin is a guest and he was on 5live in mid week saying there is too much player power at the club and we haven't shown much faith in the manager by only giving him a one year contract.

    Norwich looked useful.

Bournemouth as usual good looking attack , poor defence.

Last Championship match on. Showed the goal and two shots from Boro. Less than a minute. No pundit comments.
Guess we need to get used to that again.

As I say they usually show the Friday night game last - just happened to be us this week.

Be different next week as we play on a Saturday - as they did with all the other games to varied degrees.

Read the thread title as Elf on Quest thread.

Assumed it was about Lord of The Rings.

    Disappointed.

    Painful compared to MotD

I recorded it all but happened to switch on for our 'highlights'

Picture quality was awful for some reason

Good program, been watching it since it arrived on Quest. They get pros that are still involved in the game as pundits. I think they do a good job considering how much action they have to pack into such a small time frame.

Ah yes I see you know your football punditry well.

I much prefer a presenter who is not an ex-footballer. Colin Murray always tries to give a fan’s perspective unlike Lineker whose approach is being matey with his ex-player pals. However they try to show too much because they feel they have to show everything and the snippets of comment make it way too long.

Well he does support Cesspool. But he is a lot better than Jug Ears and company and their nauseating prattling and evacuations of hot air. You would think they are discussing The Social Contract or the latest advances in quantum chromodynamics the way the simpletons carry on.

He's great on the Snooker on Eurosport. **** it, get Jimmy White and Ronnie in to co-present this crap as well.

Murray is a smug git and ruins the snooker with his inane views.Jimmy is great though and Ronnie is a laugh.
As for the EFL show-wow it really does try to do too much.
Far too many of the pundits aren't up to it and the presenters tend to be nauseating.
My pick of best presenters and pundits are:
Chapman(maybe not the most knowledgeable but doesn't take himself too seriously and is enjoyable to watch.)Runner up is Emma:)
    Souness(outspoken but largely talks sense.)
That's it.I did like Leroy Rosenior on the old FL show but no idea what he is doing now.

Murray irritates me. But he can be quite funny.
Chapman takes on the role of 'Everyman', but is quite possibly the sharpest of the lot.
    I liked Rosenior, too.

Not one word on us. Disgusting. More fun watching Cup Fever from the CFF on London Live. A young Olivia Hussey and Susan George, Bernard Cribbins in a sympathetic authority role and the Busby Babes. And locations that still exist like the Barton Road Bridge. However the accents are definitely far from Mancunian.

    Yeah this show is poor.
They should just concentrate on showing the football instead of letting the far too many pundits give their opinions.
I'm going to skip this show from now on.
Let's hope we don't have to worry about this next season.

TBH with the games on Ifllow etc and instant highlights on YouTube its probably the sort of programme that doesn't attract many viewers.

Me might get some decent coverage tonight or like MOTD used to do will it look like we had one shot and they had about 10 and we were just lucky.

Unbelievable that Andre Ayew is STILL at Swansea, third season back in the Championship, his second, and I've heard he's still on a fair whack

I think that without him they are lower mid table fodder. He is the best striker in the division in my opinion (after JP).

I think they actually expected bids for him this season, and with him still on their books their may be more pressure to sell Rodon / Grimes.

I'd be surprised if we go for either of them at this stage now that we have Garner and Troost-Ekong looks to be coming (not that I've been aware of interest in Rodon from our side

Same bald white men in v-necked jumpers as ever it was. Makes me pine for the glamour days of that skinny toothy fella, Ramesh, or whatever he was called who used to try desperately to inject an air of excitement into Port Vale v Macclesfield. At least they used to give him a set to walk around on, whereas all these solemn Quest bald fellas get is 3 secretaries chairs from Discount Office Supplies.com.

Apart from Murray's annoying northern twang, I have no idea who the other baldies are. They might have said at the start, but they're so instantly forgetable that you can't remember after the first highlights section has been shown. Some bloke who used to play up front for Exeter City, someone else who once had trials with Bristol Rovers. Proper nobodies blinking in the bright reflected light gleaming off the gathered baldies. Tight V neck jumper itching and dreaming that this is the first step on a glittering media career of footballing sagery that might lead all the way up to a saturday night seat with gazza.

Their insight and shared wisdom about what's happened in the various games is minimal and trivial "boy done good/bad" reports similar to those used in newspaper 'summaries' of lower league games few people give ashit about.

I actually prefer this show to MOTD, last nights chat about the problems for EFL clubs due to covid was interesting and Colin Murray is a great presenter and likes to check what the fans are saying on forums etc to find out what they are thinking after games. The other people they have on the show are usually very good and have been working or playing in the EFL for a while so know what they are talking about.

Yes - Michael O'Neil is a god to him.

    And Jurgen Klopp.

TBF as CID says he does take an interest in all the clubs generally and talks about them rather than just brushing them off as a minor irritation.
