    This has saddened me greatly.
    I was only watching her on Tuesday in the new All Creatures.
    I saw her Medea. Spellbinding.
    Wonderful tributes from Vanessa R,Stoppard and my favourite from Samuel West.
    Very wonderful actress,one of our greatest.
    RIP.

    Indeed. A very fine theatrical actress from Moliere to Chekhov albeit late in her career. United with her daughter in that very fine whimsical, character driven series The Detectorists. A life well lived. Here is one of her very early performances on the small screen.
