Me too. The training wear is really nice. But the sizing is all over the place. I'm a large for a training tee shirt, but I need a 2XL for a rainjacket. Hard to order other items online without trying them on as the fits are so different.

For the trousers a 3XL is meant to be a 34" waist, but it's way too big on me so it's definitely more like a 36-38", as I'm a 34-36 at best.

Wow that does sound crazy. XL in Adidas was a 36 waist & they fit me perfectly. Not sure what size top to go for.

Yeah hard to be completely sure but I think a 2XL would probably do it.

I don't care who makes the kits because I'm not a child. I'm more interested in whether they look nice. The away kit is boring af imo. Should have had the same shirt pattern as the home kit and a different combination of colours.

If only it worked like that these days, it pretty much written into the contracts by kit suppliers these days that away/change shirts are worn a minimum number of times.

Personally I'd like to see it become compulsory that first choice colours/home kit is always worn unless there is a genuine clash that necessitates a change, but I'm well aware it will never happen.

If you hate the home kit for being too noisy and muddled you'll like the plain and simple away kit. Unless you're a big baby who likes to moan about everything of course.

The worst bit about these kits is the need to plaster Kelme on it repeatedly. Once on the breast is fine but putting it on both shoulders as well is needless.

  12. All white kits are a bit plain but ok. The white with black socks is one of my favourites from recent years.

With all the midweek fixtures the lady that washes the kit won’t be able to keep up, so I think we will see a lot of the white kit but she might not have time to iron the socks, so wrinkled socks it will be

Such is the fleecing ability of a football kit, Ajax are releasing a European shirt for this coming season.

I mean come on. One kit and another for a change of colours - more than enough.

A third kit is only needed if you want to steal from your supporters by not having a big enough difference between the 1st & change kits.

But a fourth kit for Europe? **** off.

Bristol City have bought the rights to the old Blockbusters© board - I'll have a 'P' please Bob - and are now using it for their home keepers top. Nice.

Didn't we have a goalkeeping kit like that in the 90s?

Excellent recall of that kit. I for the life of me have no recollection of our pictured former goalkeeper. Interesting that he said in the programme interview that he was a Bristol City supporter.

Sheppard was a disaster. Started Roeder’s spell as number 1 and was chaotic. Soon replaced by........Digweed.

I remember he made one amazing save in particular though, at the vic rd end (then the home end of course) , possibly v Millwall? Falling backwards stuck out his left hand from super close range.

I've just looked up Simon Sheppard on Wikipedia. There are three - our former goalkeeper, a racist from Hull who was expelled from the BNP for being too racist, and a gay San Francisco writer of hard core porn.

Away kit is sleek, plain and sexy. My fav away kit since has to be the black "TOSHIBA" one we had. Loved that one. We have of course had white before, the GT Prem season of course, with the yellow stripes
on the inside. Was never a fan of the Phones 4U sponsor though. Whatever happened to them?

He was really highly rated at the club. I was a goalkeeper in the school of excellence at the time when David James made his break through and the club were all smiles when Liverpool came in for him as they thought Sheppard was going to be even better. Unfortunately, I don't think he had the mental side to the game, couldn't recover from mistakes, exactly like myself!

Same time as Perry Digweed (played in a film with Vnnie Jones!) and Perry Suckling (now coach at Spurs) wasn't he?

Keith Waugh too - most remembered for keeping a clean sheet v Kevin Keegan's Newcastle.

They all seemed to either to suffer with injury or form only playing about 30 games between them.

People complain Foster makes a few mistakes and might be coming to the end of his career but Foster is a different class compared to those guys.

All before Kevin Miller then Alec Chamberlain came in and we were back to having decent keepers.

I remember some howlers from Shepherd. Oxford away, Sunderland at home. Roeder then said in an interview which I doubt helped his confidence "he might be a good keeper in time but he's not learning in my first team".

I remember every single goal I have given away, every single cross dropped, every single shot palmed straight back out, everything! Imagine that as a pro playing every single day, game after game. It's got to be the key basics that makes a good keeper, confidence.

Yeah but horribly fackin up in front of 10 scornful team mates who can only just about stop themselves from calling you an uttercant is horrible whichever position you're in.

I still fret over one I missed where it came bobbling gently along the goal line and I'm there alone. A traffic cone could have scored it. Our Ciff could have scored it. I took an almighty swing at it, mistimed it completely and just caught the very edge of it so it went 0mm forwards and just crazily spun off behind for a goal kick. The haunting I have is the looks on my team's faces and the laughter of the opposition.
