A weird quirk I discovered in Aylesbury, they put cheese on kebabs. And coleslaw.

Another kebab anomaly is that after one has consumed a gallon of ale
and then moved onto a kebab (extra large) the grease that has soaked into
the pitta is to die for . When you are stone cold sober it is not so inviting.

Just had scallopini with cold cauliflower, seasoned with garlic, chilli dressed with olive oil. Tip top.

Our local does this wonderful red cabbage...the juices from that mixing with the kebab grease is sensational!

My brother had his own campaign:
    Pickled
    Eggs
    Now
    In
    St Albans
It never caught on in the media,I have no idea why!

Jockanese mate of mine (Cordon bleu trained) was ordered at point blank by his missus not to do the catering at their wedding but he was allowed to 'do' the evening buffet. So lots of canapés: haggis & black pudding bites (in batter naturally), deep-fried funsize mars bars and ice cream, mini doner kebabs, fish/pie supper on one large chip and pickled quails eggs which were the hit of the night.

They do sound great. The fish supper one, are we talking about a giant chip with battered fish on top in canapé style? That’s genius.

Battered black pudding and haggis bites sound like heaven. Mind asking if he’ll do the evening food for my wedding next year?

It was a massive chip (about the size of three kit-kat fingers) with either a pea or bean puree layer with an identically sized piece of haddock(?) or pie (cheese/steak/scotch) on top in a newspaper wrapper.

When I said mini doners - they were about the size of your thumb...

  17. I've only ever had it when drunk so forgive me if I get some of these ingredients wrong, but it's a large pitta filled with chips, kebab meat and salad topped with 2 or 3 large sweet chillis and the sauce of your choice.

    Amazing.
